Pat Lucas's Staging Area

I have visited ND many times to watch football games and this is the first time I ran this half marathon. Although I’m very familiar with the campus, it was great to run through it. It’s a double loop, which I typically do not like, but I really enjoyed it. We had a nice sunny day as well.

Although it was raining, the temperatures were great. A bit windy, but a nice run next to the Gulf. Very enjoyable and the after party was inside. Food and drinks all around. Great food after the race and fun getting together with other runners.

Very enjoyable run. The course is great and very well done. Friendly people all around and the race went very smoothly. Certainly worth running again. The hills weren’t too bad, but a nice rolling course.

Loved the course around Reliance Park. Nice rolling hills and nice views along the way. The water stops were in great spots and the race coordinators did a great job. This is worth running again.

Rolling hills the whole way. Enjoyed the scenery. This was my second race in Rhode Island and it wasn’t disappointing. The views were great and it was challenging (for me). Everyone working the race did a great job.

The abandoned TP is a great out and back. They gave us a headlight for the two tunnels we ran through with the bigger tunnel being 1.25 miles. Nice scenery and will more than likely run this race again.

Great course with lots to see. Two nice downhill parts of this race, but you need to climb back up, so be ready for these climbs. Well worth it. Great people working the race.

Enjoyable scenic run. Very smooth production from packet pickup to the actually race. Food after the race was excellent. Hot dogs, Ice Cream, etc. Pictures were released immediately after the race. BDR put on great races. I’d definitely run more of their races.

Good run after thanksgiving. Paved trail and flat outside of Cincinnati. Great donuts at the end! Well run production with plenty of water stops.

My first time in New Mexico so I wanted to explore a bit before the race. New Mexico has many hikes in the Albuquerque area and all were fantastic, but to the race… Enjoyable HM course. No hills and plenty of scenery. Worth running for sure. Expo and post race activities/food was good as well. Stress free from a person traveling to the race.

Scenic trail run downhill. Paths were great and the surroundings were perfect. Will do this race again. Volunteers and staff magnificent.

Hard to run at night on a trail, but very challenging and the scenery was great. Vacation Races always puts on a great race and this was not a disappointment, just tougher than most I have run.

Small rolling hills and very nice scenery along the way. Very much enjoyed this trip and race. Very well staffed and great people along the way. Certainly worth it.

Beautiful course and nice rolling hills. Little steeper around miles 9-11, but well worth it. Will do this are again. The swag was great, specifically the hoodie. Fits nicely and very comfortable. The race was smooth all throughout.

This is a beautiful trail run. I’m not a trail runner so it was challenging for me, but not as bad as other trails I’ve tried. But the scenery is fantastic and sort of took my mind off the run. And the folks that put on the run do a great job with everything.

Nice run after Thanksgiving. Not too hard, but great scenery. Very cold, but once you get going the trail is very enjoyable. Great atmosphere and great donuts at the end. Worth doing.

The course was great along with the scenery it was well worth it. The shirt was perfect and definitely one of my favorites. The staff did a great job and made everything seem simple although I know they worked hard to make it happen.

Great trail run. I’m bad at trails but was still fun. Lots of hills and single paths as you would expect. Beautiful scenery. Not a great time but still happy.

Not only is this a well organized race (great staff), but the race is full of beautiful views. Hard to want to keep running due to all the great scenery. The race is fast not only because it’s slightly downhill, but the views are breath taking. This is a race to keep coming back to. All the folks that coordinate and volunteer are fantastic. 👍👍

Living in DE I wanted something a little more scenic than where I live. Lewes was worth the drive as this race was scenic for sure. You get the normal winds in DE, but time passes quickly running through the trail. Will do it again.

My first Ultra race and it was difficult (for me), but very enjoyable. Scenery was fantastic and would do it again. The staff running the event was top notch. Although it was a bit cold, I warmed up quickly with the first climb. Worth doing again.

Rolling hills and the cave at the end was perfect. The scenery throughout the entire run kept my mind off the actual race. The organizers did a fantastic job and there was plenty of water and other goodies on the course. This is definitely a “run again” race. Highly recommended.

My cousin and I enjoy running races together and the trifecta came at a perfect time. We live on opposite sides of the country and we met up to run all three Half Marathons (Idaho, Wyoming and Utah). With everything shut down this was a great event to be able to run 3 days together. All the races were safe and run efficiently. The staff was great and kept it fun for everyone. The swag was over the top. Nice prizes for age groups and overall awards. More than expected for sure. If you are trying to hit every state, as I am, this is a great one to do. The scenery is great. I doubt I could run 3 Half Marathons in a row if it wasn’t for the scenery. To top it off the weather was perfect. Hats off the the event staff that made this happen. Although my cousin and I didn’t get to run together much last year, at least we ran these three races together. All these races are on the repeatable list. Loved them.
