Pat Lucas's Staging Area

It’s a nice paved trail that has a very gradual decent. It’s basically flat but just a pretty run. Very enjoyable. I only scored a 3 on the production because the shuttles were cancelled so we had to park at the start. They had volunteers take us back to our cars. As a traveler, I needed to start earlier (or on time) since they delayed the race so I wouldn’t miss my flight. I ended up 3rd overall, but because I ran before others (which was the time we should have started) I wasn’t allowed to participate in the overall rewards. Little bummed but it happens and they did their best. I got to the airport with 20 minutes to depart but it all worked out. I’d run this again for sure.

This wasn’t an easy 5K. Rolling hills immediately, but the views are great. Did better than I expected and loved this whole challenge. Well worth it. I thought the time between races was great. Not too long and not too short. Love the challenge.

This was a tough course after running the 1M and 5K, but even if I didn’t run those first this race has some pretty good hills. The scenery makes this race well worth it. I was pretty tired, but I stopped a few times to take pictures. Really enjoyable. Everyone working the race was fantastic. Good foods and treats at the end as well.

This is an all trail run and it’s paved. Very minimal elevation. Just an enjoyable run not worrying about cars. The trail is big enough to not feel too crowded. The people that put on this race are great and did a wonderful job. Worth running again.

The hills were not as bad as I thought they might be. The reward is going down them once you climb up. Very enjoyable run. The Flying Pig puts on a great race all around. Certainly worth doing and doing again.

I did this as part of a multiple race series. The end is the best because they give you a Skyline Cheese coney, which are fantastic. Lots of people running and as spectators. So a lot of fun.

The trail was fantastic and it was nice to be able to run a loop as opposed to an out and back. Lot of fast runners too. Thought the setup was great and there was plenty of water on the course. Well worth it.

Great scenery and mostly downhill, but love races that are not an out and back. Shuttle to the start (and you can wait in the bus to stay warm) and shuttle back to the car. Great people working the race. Many water stops. Great race all around.

Great views the whole race. Nice rolling hills and a good downhill portion after mile 7. Found myself looking around more than most runs as there is a lot to see. Great race to do for sure.

Flat run after midnight. Perfect weather and just a fun run. Enjoyed driving from Las Vegas to Rachael. Loved Seeing all the headlights and running lights. A fun Tun to do again and again. Great crew working the race.

I’m not a hill runner, so the first 5 miles and mile 10-11 really hit me hard. Was able to regain some time on the downhill, but did walk the first 5 miles. However, the views were fantastic so certainly worth the climb. MT is a wonderful state and we had a great time overall. Vacation Races has always delivered.

Very enjoyable. Pretty much flat but a good course. Lots of support and refreshments along the way. Well done in a nice place. Nice refreshments at the end.

Enjoyable course. Rolling hills, but easy to get lost in the scenery. One of my most peaceful runs and the rolling hills helped with a good workout. Worth running again.

The website says flat and fast. Part of this race is flat and fast, but the trail isn’t. I recorded about a 946 ft elevation. Not too bad, but the rain and mud made this race harder than it probably would be if dry. In any case, still an enjoyable run and great scenery.

I thought the course was perfect for exploring the city. Less than 400+ elevation with running over several bridges. Plenty of space for everyone and well planned water stations. Very enjoyable.

A nice course running near the boardwalk in Portland, ME. Pretty flat course and plenty of water, etc along the way. Well run production by everyone involved. Will certainly come back and do it again.

Running along the water is always a nice touch. Great paths and scenery. Well worth flying out for this race. The staff was top notch and the race went smoothly.

Nice flat course with great scenery around the lake. Very peaceful quite frankly. Enjoyed all the staff and volunteers throughout the course.

Besides the rain the course was wonderful. Lots to see and enjoy. Wonderful folks working the course. Well worth it and hope to visit again.

Rolling hills but not noticeable. Windy in some areas but to be expected on the coast. The whole experience was smooth from beginning to end. Great group of folks.

The scenery was fantastic. A good trail run to give perspective on road races. Very technical for me but enjoyable. Was paying too much attention to my footing than the time and I was finished before I realized it. Great group of people who ran the show. Well done.

Not only was the race organized extremely well, but the swag was fantastic as well as the food afterwards. Clam Chowder and Lobster! Loved it. Flat course, but a bit windy which made it a bit more difficult, but loved it. Worth returning.
