The aid stations were every 1.25 miles and had water and Gatorade. They had great volunteers.
The course was extremely flat except for the welcoming hill at the end.
The beer afterwards was very tasty and wasn’t only limited to one or two.
The medals were nice and I will wear the shirt.

Great course for a first timer or for someone wanting to get a PR. The aid stations were plentiful with water and manned with good volunteers. I did not carry extra water. I would suggest an aid station at mile 2 instead of the first one being at mile 4. The race description said they would have gel packets, but I did not see any on the tables. Someone mentioned they saw a few boys handing something out at one aid station.

The race is on the Prairie Spirit Trail, which is a hard packed limestone surface. Because it is a rail to trail, the course is flat. The race is in November so the weather can be cold. The year I ran the race the wind around mile 11 to 12 was brutal. I will run the race again in 2024.
