Flat course. Water stations every few miles, gatorade at the last few. Well organized.

They didn’t have chip timing (which I don’t mind), but it still seemed accurate compared with my Garmin time.

Packet pick up was the morning of the race 7-9am. Race start at 9. I liked the later start because of the warmer temps!

I didn’t stay in town, but there were plenty of cheap, off-season rates right on the ocean.

The packet pick up area was in the Brunswick. Family can wait and have drinks while you run! Usually this is in March, so it is very cold, but the day it was postponed to was low 60s and sunny! We enjoyed drinks on the deck outside after.

I would definitely do this again! If I would have been more prepared I could have had a great PR!

This course has excellent views of Tenant’s Harbor and Port Clyde and includes the Marshall Point lighthouse (from Forrest Gump!) Very well organized, great communication. This is set at a kid’s summer camp, and proceeds from the race go toward sending kids to the camp. You can stay on-site the night before for a small fee (no kids there this weekend!). The race is capped at 250 people – a real local, grassroots sort of production!

Foodies? Pre-race seafood chowder dinner with veggies (grown there) and pasta salads for just $15. There is also a post- race brunch – a fully loaded breakfast buffet for everyone, no additional fee!

Swag? No t-shirts or anything but the medals are Gglazed pottery and age-group winners get hand made mugs!

You could easily make a weekend trip camping right there or stay at one of the local B&B’s right on the ocean. This would be a great way to see a beautiful part of Maine and is about 20 mins from 2 other lighthouses in Rockland and Owl’s Head.

SO WINDY from hurricane Ian. Otherwise would have been a PR. Well organized. Easy bib pick up (no expo). Great zip-up jacket and finisher medal! Fun MC, great music and each runner gets 2 beers, a lobster roll and chowder! Tons of hotel options close to the start line (although most of the boardwalk/beachfront shops and restaurants were closed for the season).

Well organized! T shirts, but no medals. Great finish line views of Portland Headlight and the Atlantic Ocean! Crowds cheering you on the entire course! I’ve done a lot of races and never seen a crowd like this! Spectators were playing music and there was even a live band. Water stations every mile. A bacon station on the last mile. Quite a few residents along the course had hoses/sprinklers set up to run through too. This might be my new favorite race!

Great group putting this on! Great MC who kept things fun and lively! Excellent swag! Start and finish lines at the Postcard Inn/resort ( I stayed elsewhere, but would stay here next time!). Missed the party at the Florida Keys Brewing Co, but would love to go this year. This is the only race I want to repeat. Just go, you won’t regret it!

Rumrunner 5k and Beer mile Saturday were a blast too!

Only downside was that this was VERY HOT for this Maine girl- 80 degrees! Somewhat shady course though!

This was my very first Half Marathon! The course was great and I only remember one short steep hill. There was music every mile, which was great and helped push me faster. The pizza at the end was great, but the cold heavy rain interfered with my post-race celebration. I would definitely do this again!

Great production. Very organized for such a big event. Great course with a very challenging couple of miles climbing that bridge! Worth it! Great after party in beautiful, charming Charleston! I was able to have my race packet mailed, which saved a lot of time/a trip to pick it up. I would love to see the convention next time though.
