This race puts Disney to shame. There were aid/water stations nearly every mile – some included fuels. There was entertainment including music, spectators, motivational signs. The swag was by far the best swag I’ve received – shirt, steel tumbler, safety light, and more.

There was FOOD at the end for the runners, not just bananas and fake cheese, but REAL FOOD, and lots of it.

Celebration is a beautiful town, and the roads were clear and safe. The portions through the woods on the boardwalks were beautiful. This wasn’t just long stretches of nothing to see. The course is nice and flat.

Downtown Celebration was open to runners BEFORE the race! There were plenty of options for food and coffee and real bathrooms. Proprietors were friendly.

The picturesque town of Celebration (have you watched “The Trueman Show”?) outside of Orlando held its 4th edition of its marathon. Great swag (raw thread/ bamboo technology tshirt, safety light, …) and a fun food sampling (including beer, mimosas, pizza, pulled pork, …) after the race made the race special.
Start and finish are in the city center near market street with plenty of parking in walking distance. This year was rainy and cold but the course (Boston qualifier) is very flat and fast. Mainly on asphalt through the neighbourhoods, around the golf course and over wooden board walks. Despite the weather the athmosphere was friendly and cheerful. I would run it again.

The Celebration course was flat, fast and pretty. In addition to a killer post-race party, the race has a generous bib transfer policy. This policy allows those unable to run to get their money back, and those who want to run the opportunity to do so. Celebration is a modestly sized race that provides runners with a big race experience (or even better than a big race, truth be told). There’s no reason not to sign up and a zillion reasons to.
