The post race party includes the Rollin’ Oats Wellness Market (including organic samples, wine tasting and chef inspired nosh) live music, and craft beer from Green Bench and 3 Daughters breweries. Enjoy beautiful views of Tampa Bay, while participating in this ocean-friendly event and raising money for the St Pete Free Clinic, America Cancer Society-Gold Together and St Pete Youth Farm.
This 13.1 mile certified course highlights all that is spectacular about St. Pete! Run through the heart of downtown St. Pete, with its many unique urban districts, then along the scenic waterfront through historic neighborhoods.
Your run starts on Bayshore Drive next to the world-renowned Salvador Dali Museum, overlooking the waters of Tampa Bay. From there head up 1st Avenue South past the USFSP campus. Then take a tour through the Grand Central District, EDGE District, The Deuces, and Warehouse Arts District as you head back on Central Avenue, with its unique shops and restaurants.
Once back on the scenic waterfront, run through the historic Old Northeast and Snell Isle neighborhoods, before a photo finish on Bayshore Drive next to the Mahaffey Theater Plaza.
The course has 10 Hydration Stations, featuring Gatorade Endurance Formula and Gatorade Endurance Energy Gels, as well as water. There is also a Hydration Station at the start/finish area.
Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K participants will receive a race-specific finisher medal, custom designed by a local artist. Those who complete the Tortuga Triple (all 3 races) will receive a medal for each individual race, plus a special Tortuga Triple medal. Those who complete the Dolphin Double (5K or 10K + Half) and the Stingray Double Play (10K + 5K) will receive two medals for the individual races, plus a special Dolphin Double or Stingray Double Play medal.
St Pete is known for our craft beer scene and each participant receives two complimentary local craft beers as part of the “Beach Bar” and Gulp Coast Beer Garden experience.

If you are lucky enough to register early and get a discounted hotel room with one of their partners, it is even better. I come from Ohio every year. They have an excellent after-party – probably one of the best ever with delicious food, beer and fun photo opportunities . The shirts are nice v-necks for women, plenty of swag and awesome medals. I especially like the Tortuga Triple Challenge which is a combo of 5k, 10K and Half then you get an extra medal. The course is flat and interesting through the streets of St Pete and you get to run on the pier. Walk to and from the start line from your hotel and be stress free. No long bus shuttles or fighting for parking. The folks at St Pete Run Fest know what they are doing when it comes to creating a great event.

Flat race that starts in downtown Petersburg. Course was well supported with ample water stops, volunteers, and police officers assisting with street closure. After you run through the city, you head to the restaurants area where businesses were out offering drinks and coffee. You then ran to the waterfront. Post-race feast was the best, (chicken and rice, pizza, baked salmon and kale salad, fruits), also vendors was out selling stuff. Defiantly was a party type affair after the race. Medal and water bottle were given out at the finish line. Highly recommended this race and I will travel to run it again, so much fun.

T-shirts ran very big, but they told you they ran small when you registered, so everyone upsized and then ended up with shirts that were too big.
Good mimosa’s at the end and nice free giveaways from local grocery store, but there wasn’t much post race food. It was Carraba’s and Outback: in the past at other races, we had lots of food from them, but this time you just got a tiny scoop of chicken marsala or steak. It was really good, but that was all the food they had, other than post race banana and apple.

This did not suck like i though it would. Nice swag. Pretty cool to run through tropicana field. Course was not accurately measured as my mapmyrun app came in at 13.47 miles. compared with lots of others, everyone had over 13.4 miles on theirs. the after party set up was nice and thank you for having a cider selection. could have used cold water at the finish and not a line of people waiting on smoothies. that kind of got in the way. need more races in pinellas county. and love my race t-shirt. already registered for 2018.
