Spots were slippery on the boardwalk from the recent rain. Nice paved trails and boardwalks, not alot of scenic views though (mostly trees). Good pacers – some offered intervals. Decent support at water stops. Fun atmosphere at finish line. I wish they provided spectator info for us out-of-towners.

I would highly recommend doing at least one Vacation Race! Grand Teton Half was a tough course for me because of the elevation, but the scenery of the mountain views were so nice! Well organized race including packet pickup, start/ finish shuttles, and aid stations. Absolutely love the medal, and i highly recommend doing the Grizzly Double with the Yellowstone Half, if that’s an option. I wish I had more time to the Quad (5k& Halfs) but there was just so much to see in the National Parks, esp with my non-running fam. 🙂 The course had a nice mix of rolling hills, and it was mostly on a paved bike path or wide shoulders. All the volunteers and VR staff were great too! oh free photos too! Thanks VR!

This night run was very interesting – a 6.5 mile out and back hilly course, so you have to run 2 laps of it for the half marathon. There’s also a section that drops onto a gravel path (slippery) to run by Blackwater Falls, but I wish it was lit up. Super dark along the course, but lighted vest and headlamp worked out fine. There were 3 aid stations along the course, which seemed sufficient. lots of snacks at the finish. nice ceramic medal, and lightweight hoodie! I would def recommend staying in one of the deluxe vacation cabins in the park – all within a 1/2 mile of start and packet pick up. And take a couple of days before or after to hike the trails in the park! (difficult to rate course scenery since it was in the DARK, but the stars were all out!)

fun race through the city and some pretty neighborhoods. Wasn’t quite prepared for all the hills. well supported race with sufficient aid stations and nice spin medal. swag included a tshirt and knit hat.

It’s a nice trail – packed dirt, 90% downhill at a gentle grade, with decent course support. Beautiful scenery! I can see why this is a fan-favorite, esp with PR potential! Free photos and a unique handmade medal!

They had a full wknd of all distances, even rucking options! Highlights of race wknd – the 5k on Sat had 5 DJs on course, a confetti gun start for each corral for the half/full, and there was amazing neighborhood/course support – music, jello shots, beer and blood marys, donuts, candy, cookies, and tissues.

I loved this as my 1st marathon; unfortunately I was injured so I didn’t do as well as I hoped. But this course is one I would definitely consider running again. Small, well organized and supported point to point race. I loved running along the packed dirt road along the Green River and over a few bridges. It’s also a net downhill course, so I think alot of people usually PR it. Very scenic! The weather was great on race day, if maybe a bit warm, but with the tree-cover, it was perfect.

The course along the coast line just makes this course worthwhile! Small race expo, but the race logistics, aid stations and crowd support were good. Highly recommend this race!
