The first half was relatively flat. But the second half was very hilly. Killer uphill between miles 7-8. But the scenery was good as were the volunteers. The race ends by Capitol Hill and the National Mall which is nice. Pretty medal.

I was surprised at how hilly Tulsa is! But this race was fun. We ran through neighborhoods with beautiful homes with many homeowners cheering us on. There were plenty of water/Gatorade stops. Great volunteers.

Most people love this race. While I agree that it is very well organized, the volunteers were plentiful and there were plenty of water stations, I had a hard time because 95% of this race is on concrete. Unfortunately I am injury prone and a concrete surface has no give. Blacktop is actually much more runner friendly. So, this really put a damper on my performance.
