This course was smooth and easy and lots of giveaways! It’s all big downhills from start to about 3/3.5. So much so that I forgot to fuel. Then it’s pretty close to flat or a very slow decline that I couldn’t feel. Amazing people amazing beauty! I don’t love downhills, but still panned out ok for me in the end.

The production was great, allowing you to focus solely on the race. The medal is high quality and a fun, unique design. The course was on a well maintained trail, through a beautiful landscape. Aid stations could use more volunteers to run a little smoother. Loved that we could be dropped off at the start rather than bussed!

This is a great half marathon. It starts in a beautiful park and it’s pretty much downhill the whole distance. For the first couple of miles it’s ran on roads, but the remaining distance is ran on paved trails winding by the virgin river. The race director is great, Underground Runner does a great job! I would do this race again.

This race was a beautiful slightly downhill course. It was well-supported and well-run.
It is on a paved trail system, so just be prepared that the trail is not closed. We had to weave in and out around cyclists, dog-walkers, and non-race runners.
But overall a great race.
Fast downhill course
Fun and fast downhill for the first 4 miles and then a gradual decent on the magnificent Virgin River Trail system to the finish line! Good finish line food! Excellent MORE

Great race, really big downhill the first few miles but I would say pretty flat after that. There are a few steep uphills though, but doesn’t last too long. Several aid stations throughout, and a few portapotties per station BUT people were always stopped at them. Buses ran great to take us from where we parked our car to the start line. This was my first half marathon & was honestly a great one to start off with!! If you are considering it, just do it !

The first three miles of the course drop pretty quickly, with one 40- to 50-foot climb. From there, the course winds gently down the Virgin River Trail to Bloomington Park. The total drop on the course is about 650 total feet, with only 185 feet of uphill. This should be a nice, low-impact race for anyone wanting to run a downhill without ending up with jelly legs.
