It was windy and no protection from the elements. 13.1 miles out against the wall of wind. However, all the wind pushed you back on the second 13.1 miles.
Packet pick up should have been race morning due the low number of participants. However, day of race packet pick up was not offered. Runners from EL PASO had to make 2 trips just to get packages/bibs.

Race was cut short for some running due to heat. I was not affected and completed my race in a respectable time. It was humid and not quite as hot … MORE

Race was cut short for some running due to heat. I was not affected and completed my race in a respectable time. It was humid and not quite as hot as reported.
OVERALL – This was my 6th time running this marathon and it is #1 for all marathons.
Will be back in 2024 to do # 7

Just a side note: If you choose the host hotel, transport after the race does not exist and you are forced to be on the metro and bus for about 1 hour to get back to the hotel.

No food or cold water at finish.
After 6 hours roads were not patrolled and cars were on the course.

There were many hills but its WHIDBEY Island which very hilly. I enjoyed the race but expected the hills since I lived in WA State at the time. This was my first and only attempt at the FULL for this race. My other attempts at Whidbey Island were all at the Half Marathon level. Expect course changes. Its changed a few times (Ran HM X4 and FM X 1)

This was the first time for the race. It was done at night.
It was very warm and they ran out of water during the race.
It was mostly on the river and the bugs were plentiful.
Medal was great but I would not run this race again.

Corral Placement determines when you run
Package pick up is very busy and has to be done day before the race.
Disney requires you arrive way to early to sit around for hours before you run.
Great race for first timers but expect a lot of walkers and congestion.
