This race was fantastic because the weather was beautiful and the scenery was terrific. The course was well marked with lots of volunteers cheering participants along the way, and I felt safe because there were lots of police directing traffic. It was certainly a challenge beginning and ending the race on the track as it was sandy and comparable to running on a beach, but I would do this race again given the opportunity.

Parking is plentiful.
Was told that no package pickup was available for 1/2 Marathon but it appeared that they were giving out numbers on race morning.
Course has lots of police on the cross roads.
2nd mile goes past all the Dispensaries at the NM State line, since weed is legal in NM.
First and last mile is done on the horse track in soft sand. Can slow you down.
