This was a large race, and extremely well organized. The parking was easy and plentiful; race communication was helpful and timely. I loved the course, especially the parts that wound through town. Its a beautiful small city.

We were lucky to have cool wind and sunny skies. The course was hilly but not too steep (except for a long hill at the end). Abundant port-a-pots, and volunteer water stations. It was fun to finish in the stadium. All in all, a great race experience.

I would have preferred a later start – 7 AM was a challenge, and it definitely impacted my fueling and performance. I usually pick races with later start times.

This was a well organized race, with many volunteers. The course was quite hilly. Most hills were easy but the hill at mile 12 was no fun. The run was supported for just 3 hours – thank goodness, I made it.

This was my worst half marathon time ever, but that was no fault to the race itself. I truly enjoyed the scenery, the route, the volunteers. This race was marred by: insufficient nutrition, poor sleep and gear problems (had to race in brand new, never worn shoes)

This was a really nice race in a lovely place. A little hilly, but not excessively. Mid-way through the race, in a residential area, the road narrowed and on-coming traffic was a little scary. My only complaint is that the first water stop in Hebron was unmanned, and only had Gatoraid left. This was four miles into the race. i would have carried water had I known.

I would have had a personal best at the 13.1 mile mark, but the 5k’ers were mixed in with the same bib color and I missed a small sign taped to a cone. To be fair, the race organizers said to look out for cones, but this one was near a water table and I must have missed it. Hence, I ran part of the 5k course and my time included 1.5 miles more than 13.1. There were no flaggers at critical turns, just signs taped to orange cones….

There were hills – but the countryside was beautiful.

There were water stops (7).

Pre-race information/communication was excellent and clear. the race is held in a very small and charming community, and the run is alongside the Lackawaxen river. The sound of the river over rocks and the many bird songs were lovely. Elevation was gentle/minor. We stayed in the hamlet of Narrowsburg, 12 miles away; good restaurants, a nice coffee shop and brewery.

This was a very well organized race with lots of volunteers. The course was out-and-back and quite hilly, but the hills were well graded and easy to run. There were both runners and walkers on the course. Starting and stopping at Zuma beach was really nice – it’s a beautiful beach.

This is a mostly downhill course along a nice rail trail. A very nice race with a great Patagonia tech shirt and a BBQ at the finish. I would highly recommend this race to anyone who might want to spend a weekend in the Fingerlakes region of NY.
