Coronado is beautiful this time of year, and what a great way to kick off the holiday. The start line has been a cluster every year, without an easy way to self-seed based on pace. The price is very reasonable with presale, but I will say the $40 parking fee is egregious. That being said, I will likely be back next year!

This race has beautiful scenery, generally great weather year over year, and the course is very reasonable (flat for 8 – 9 miles, hill, flat, then 2 – 3 miles downhill to the finish. It’s a little pricey, but I’m still planning to build up my legacy status!

Of all of the trail races I have done, this is probably the kindest one. Very gentle for the first 4 miles, 300 foot ascent, then descent and flat before turning around. Beautiful scenery, although sometimes the smell of the nearby farms is a bit much! That being said, I will continue to come back!

This is a challenging trail race, but also well-organized and a great tour of the Lake Dixon/Daley Ranch area. I love the downhill finish and the overall production of all ERS events. I will be back next year!

The views in this race are spectacular and the terrain is largely reasonable… except for the massive hills that start at mile 6. Endurance Race Series does a great job with race production and makes the challenge very worthwhile!

I really looked forward to this race as it was pretty iconic for San Diego. It got pretty hot and we could see the finish line around mile 11.5… except that we had to circle the area for 1.5 miles to actually finish. Underwhelmed with the swag, as personally, I don’t see the purpose of a running dress. With the course, it took a long time to shuttle back and when I came home, I saw that my results didn’t register. I submitted proof of my completion and nothing came of it. I will not plan to do this race again

I really wanted to like this race, and granted, maybe things have changed since I did it in their inaugural year. There wasn’t a good way to self-seed based on pace at the start line. There weren’t any mile markers. Barely any swag. It was essentially an out and back twice. What was advertised as 8+ miles of coastal scenerey ended up being the same 2 miles that you passed once out, then back, and then doubled back on. This could have been gorgeous. It certainly wasn’t physically challenging. But mentally, I was over it given the circumstances. Would not do it again

How often do you get to run across the Coronado Bridge? This was an amazing (and frightening) opportunity. The race started a bit late given the weather, and the start line was a bit of a cluster; it would have been nice to be able to separate the runners from the walkers. Now that they have a 10K option, I would love to come back next year!

I can’t believe that with how long I have been running, this was my first Turkey Trot. San Diego doesn’t seem to have a lot of longer distance options for Turkey Trots, so I chose this one. The coastal view is beautiful, but the course isn’t the most imaginative as it has you double back over part of the course. I don’t think I will be back

I ran this race in its first 2 years and thought that it was a very gentle course. Well-priced, well-managed, and I even got a PR on my second time here!

Will run for chocolate? That’s me! It was a great course, and the swag has been really great as well. I expected more chocolate at the finish but otherwise, I would recommend this race!

Well-organized and a great first marathon for me (at least in the way of external factors. What made it less than great personally is entirely on me 🙂 ) I loved all of the swag at the finish line, and it was a great way to tour the area. A wonderful time to run in Arizona!
