I was drawn to this race for two reasons – I needed a 5k as part of my taper plan for an ultra marathon the following week and the title “hardest 5k in San Diego” was too good to resist! This was my first trail 5k since coming to SoCal last year and I must say, for a local race I was very impressed! Great organization, friendly volunteers, quality vendors and even hot breakfast at the finish line! I’d recommend this run to anyone, just remember the hills are no joke.
