Wow, relentless is 100% accurate. The singletrack is awesome on this course. Rolling and fun. The fire road in the middle was a soul sucker as it got as high as 99 on mine and my husbands watch so it got pretty hot on that exposed section. But the aide stations were great, the volunteers were amazing. The ascent was 13,780 feet! Nuts! I am so proud of myself for finishing. First 100K on the books.

I highly recommend this event. Gorgeous views. It made me fall in love with the eastern Sierras. I used this event as a last training block for my 100K and it was perfect for that! I will probably do this event again be wise it was so awesome.

I rolled my left ankle and really messed it up so I wasn’t able to train until 5 weeks before the race and decided id just go for it and see what happens. 34 miles logged! Ha! Way more than I thought I could do. This race is perfect to train yourself on running through the night. This is also the perfect tune up race for testing new gear, new nutrition, new distances etc. Everyone is so nice, the food at the aide station was perfect. Definitely my go back to race I think every year that I can do it. This was my third time. First was 6 hr, then 24 hr relay, this year 12 hr. Next year I’m going to do 12 hr again and shoot for first place female! I know I can do it. Then maybe, if I feel crazy enough, shoot for 24 hr and 100 miles down the road. Why not?! Lovely vineyard and the central coast is amazing to visit if you aren’t from the area. I live here, so I get to be around the beauty all the time.

For this race, I stopped at 40 miles after 10 hours. I had an injury to my right leg that I wasn’t sure if it was okay to continue. So I played it safe. Looking back I should have just hobbled for the last 10 miles lol. But it was a great experience Born to Run is something else all together. Gathering with a bunch of people who love to do the same thing suffer together run together go on a journey together. It’s absolutely fun and an experience that everyone should have. Don’t miss out. Also it’s nice to challenge yourself you can pick any distance you’d like

If you really want to experience mud, creek crossings and lots of water, more water, and really cold weather, (at least for California) then choose this race! Haha granted, we had a winter storm warning so I think the very cold weather wasn’t typical. BUT the course is awesome and one can go FAST! Lots of single track some wide service road but not much. A couple of sections with steep climbs but really 99% runnable. This is a fun race and totally worth running! Great production great aide stations. If you haven’t run Way too cool 50K you are missing out! I want to run this one again. I used this 5K as a training run for my 50 miler so I took it slow. But would love to try to take this one fast to see if I could shave off time.

Oh my goodness what a beautiful race course. Muir woods was amazing. Views were so pretty. The climbs were great and amazing! Very fun challenge. Choose this as my first 50K. I had unusual calf cramps at mile 16 which threw a wrench into my run! I was planning a 7 hr 15 min finish at most and finished 7 hr 55 min. But I dragged my butt to the end. I want to repeat this course again. Totally worth it because it was amazing. Highly recommend. Inside trail puts on great events. This is my second one by them. I’ll be looking at their other races.

If you are wanting to challenge yourself physically and mentally and push your boundaries as a runner this is the perfect race for you. Whether you want to go 6 hours 12 hours 24 hours or 100 miles. There’s a challenge for every single person which is wonderful. I did the 6-hour last year which is very humbling. This year I did the 24-hour relay with three other women I totaled 38 miles for myself, our team collected 106 miles in 24 hours! Wonderful experience! The race director was great, food was great, people were great, and environment was great. Highly recommend.

I am from California and I live near the beach. I also love trail running, I really don’t like road running very much. Only thing that was disappointing was that the marathon was run on the fire roads not any of the single track. Would have been a lot more fun to have some single track mixed in with the fire road. But overall I had a great experience it was my first Marathon distance which I was very happy with my performance. Lodging is quite expensive in this area. So try to book ahead as much as possible to get a cheaper rate. Great first time experience most likely won’t do again just because of the cost.

If you love trail running, this trailfest is for YOU! Three EPIC days of running in beautiful Utah. Bryce half marathon, then Zion 10.5 miles, and horseshoe bend 10.8 miles. Worth the long drive to UT, the cost, and the metals are awesome. Best race experience by far! So beautiful. And you explore the national parks afterwards. Kanab was a nice little town with their own trails too worth exploring. The staff was amazing and production spot on. Don’t miss out!

The race is ran on private property, so it’s amazing that we are welcome to run there! Thank you Miossi family! Very beautiful display of San Luis Obispo landscape. It was HARD! Just shy of 5,000 feet elevation gain for 16 ish miles. For me, that’s a lot! But I loved the challenge. Worth doing for sure. Everyone was so nice. Will do again. I rolled my ankle at 6 miles in so I wasn’t as fast as I wanted, but I finished! Thank you to the runners who made sure I was ok!

It was very beautiful. Lovely smooth trails and I felt like it was a fast course you can really fly through. Not too many roots or rocks at all. I had a lot of fun and plan to do this race again. Maybe one day I can jump to the 50K. Totally recommend. The course was marked so well too. No way to get lost.

This was a very awesome experience. I have run races before but nothing over a 10k. This was the first time I really wanted to push myself and see where my boundaries lie. I’ve been running for the past 8 months on trails up to 23 miles. I figured the 6-hour race would be enough of a challenge to see how many miles I can get in that short time. I thought it was a great personal challenge and I learned so much about myself and about racing. I also learned a lot about running at night versus running during the day. Awesome experience, invaluable. Next year I plan to do the 24 hour relay team with four girls!
