The legendary Angeles Crest 100 Mile Endurance Run started back in 1986. One of the original five 100 milers. AC100 has strived to keep the race’s original point-to-point course from Wrightwood to Altadena largely intact while preserving its level of difficulty. It’s one of only 6 point-to-point 100-mile runs in the country. You’ll traverse 100 miles of San Gabriel mountains from elevations of 1,135 to 9,300 feet.

Runners who participate in this race will cover 100 miles of the San Gabriel mountains, encountering steep climbs and rocky terrain along the way.

AC100 is not easy but every finisher knows that the journey is worth it. The San Gabriel backcountry provides a stunning backdrop for the race and the course presents a challenge. 

Preparing oneself physically and mentally for the race is crucial, but the experience of running through the high alpine ridges of Baden Powell, the rocky trails of the high country, the deep canyons surrounding Mt. Wilson and the Mt. Wilson Climb itself makes it all worth it. Despite the immense challenge, there are special moments to be found in this race.
