You gotta do this race & tackle B-berry Mtn! Sure it’s tough but do the training & it’s worth it! Great organization, volunteers & theme. Killer bling & awards. The town comes out and the weather was fab. Pickle juice & watermelon never tasted better! I wanna repeat too. Be sure to stay in the the local firehouse the night before & join the locals at a spaghetti supper. One of the best I’ve ever done!

is the best in Kansas. It’s well organized, small, yet the whole town comes out to support it. I paced this race & nailed my time. Probably one of the better races I’ve run. Despite sunny course, great support throughout. The after party has all types of food. Worth repeating.

The course changed last minute due to road construction so it cancelled out a hilly section. But that plus nice weather and good course support made for an enjoyable race. It’s a small race and despite running in a suburb, it gets rather lonely. But if you’re looking for an easy half, try this one.

and it’s worth it everytime. The Connors organize a great point-to-point race. It’s small but that’s a wonderful quality about this race. The start is uphill onto a bridge then it’s flat, but there is a slight increase in the neighborhood section. Excellent snacks await you and the tamales are tasty! Great race.

I love the race and that’s why I repeated. Great course while allows you to run a strategic race and take advantage of the course. I walked up the hills and flew down them. Great course support and well organized. Highly recommend it!

It must be a Memphis thang, which is too bad. Water stations yes, but lots of waste due to plastic cups. I ran a good race but if I can avoid it, I pass on this one in the future. But post race snacks were good. There, something positive.

and really enjoyed meeting the runners. I dressed up like a flying monkey complete with wings. Great organization and support. Course was ok. Not hills, more like upgrades. Brisk weather at start and wind wasn’t too bad. Overall, I would do this again.

whish isn’d bad if you are expecting it. Strong headwind caused problems for some. Under new management, the race suffers from lack of attention to details. Poor portapotties placement and number throughout course. Aid stations were not well staffed. Swag was poor, but I’m not into that anymore. But still, was able to knock out half #84.

I ran my fastest half in years due to great course. Some hills but they helped me fly downhill. Great support throughout. Started & ended at stadium too. Running thru Annapolis was very pretty. Loved it!

Start was cramped & sharp & narrow turn wasn’t easy. Kids on motorized skateboards were allowed to folo their dad..come on! No restrooms on course. 5K runners allowed to run behind half and collided with us. Do better!

I was visiting family and needed a race & this was just what I needed. A small, yet well organized race to benefit Veterans. Easy out & back along a nearby river with great course support. Not a dirt trail but a lightly graveled course. I’d repeat again!

Very efficient race and production. I’ve run this for several years & am very familiar with it. Germantown is hillier than one would think. Slight course changes this year. Plus great weather for a change too. Long sleeve hoodie-like shirt, not my thing, so I gave away. Plus medals didn’t come it on time. No big deal. My bling ends up in a box in the attic anyway.

Easy, no frills, Half-Marathon. Really well organized. Gr8 course support. If you are looking to knock out a half this is it. Flat, wooded course on paved road. Will repeat!

This was the 2nd Half for this race series. Best series around. well supported and nice bling for finishers. The course is meh, but if you need to knock one out, then this is for you. I ran hard and smart and finished with me best time in a while and best since knee surgery.

Well organized and small race. Liked that it started on a NASCAR track for the first mile. Kinda fun. How many times do you get to do that. Course is flat and in some places pretty. Need more portapotties on the course. Had to stop in a coffee house but the owner was nice. Great bling and loved the Monster theme stocking hat too.

It was ok. Some volunteers couldn’t answer some basic questions, but hey, volunteers right. Gotta have ’em. Pace teams not well organized. Course was very good. A steady rain actually made things better. Warning, there is a metal grated bridge on going onto Rock Island. Can be tricky footing.

Great weather for the race so spectators came out too. It’s a very hilly race. But I pace the 2:30 Half so it was enjoyable. Bling nice. But the roads have always been a mess with potholes and gravel in places. Jackson can’t seem to shake that reputation. But I’ll be back to pace next year on Feb. 29. New date. so maybe even better weather.

Not much to say that I didn’t say in the previous review. This was the 2nd half in this series that takes place in November. Better weather too. But a barking hammy forced me to walk a bit. Good course support throughout. Organization is top notch!

perfect wx conditions, small but fiesty crowd. The course was on the hiway loop around Dothan. (meh) Mostly flat, some inclines. Wouldn’t call in hilly. Good crowd support, organization and nice swag. Glad to have paced this race.

IMHO BIH is the best race I’ve ever run. The Amish community know how to throw a gr8 race. Awesome beautiful course, rolling hills and gr8 crowd support. Nice handmade horseshoe bling. Organization was tops. Weather was a factor too. Cools temps, overcast. Gr8 pre and post parties too. I highly recommend.

It is a a humid, hot day so that didn’t help. Very little to no shade either. They tied it into a big festival at the end but with no shade and beat up from running I fled. Course not bad, same typical downtown Memphis.

just the way I dig my races. The wx was unusually cold for the AJM. It’s a small race & can use more volunteers at check-in. Course monitors nearly froze & were in their cars at some turns. But course support was good. Very hilly and the wind added to the challenge. It was a confidence builder for sure.

I’m so familiar with this course I could probably run it with my eyes close. It is a rolling hills course & it’ll bite you late if you don’t plan out your run. Depending on the wx, the crowds are good, but if it’s chilly, very few. Organizers are top notch too. Nice swag. Good for a PR.

It’s a 2 mile, looping course. Didn’t know what to think, but I liked it. Easy, road course thru pretty forest. Well stocked aid stations on either end of course. Seeing runners thru out is a plus. Nice medal & stocking cap. Could have run harder but have a pace assignment next week. Will repeat.
