is the best way to describe the race. Smaller ’cause of the heavy downpour of rain. I’ve run the course in different races: hilly but very forgiving at the end. The payoff is a flat, quick course in the 2nd half. Bling is an interesting riverboat with a moving wheel. Good organization too.

80% of the course is outstanding, starting along the Mighty Mississippi river and passing through some of the historical and interesting points of Memphis. The last 20% goes through some … MORE
80% of the course is outstanding, starting along the Mighty Mississippi river and passing through some of the historical and interesting points of Memphis. The last 20% goes through some depressed areas and industrial areas – a shame that the last 3 miles couldnt utilize other Memphis landmarks. Race was well organized and communication throughout was excellent.

This was the inaugural Race 13.1 in Memphis. I LOVED it. The course was interesting and took runners through some cool areas. The race was very small but extremely well organized, I will definitely return next year if it is hopefully held here again.
