Great atmosphere – great people – great volunteers. I was (and still am) healing from a right calf strain. So my plan was to walk as much as needed, shuffle when I can. I had a great time – despite being practically last of the pack. But I got some GREAT videos and photos of downtown Annapolis – it looked like the city shut down just for me! Great course, clearly marked, lots of volunteers to ensure you stay on route. Great Winter Race!

The swag was really the best part of this race (and the lab puppy waiting to give me kisses at the top of a bridge). Sweet socks and a journal in addition to the other typical runners goodies. The running through downtown Annapolis was a pretty run, but then the race went out onto closed down highways. Lots of pavement and little worthwhile scenery. It was hot, the concrete radiated heat, and at about mile 7-9 the water stops ran out of water. I don’t know that I would have finished it if I didn’t have my hydration belt.
