This was a medium sized race, in a nice sized town. The packet pick up was easy and no frills. The long sleeve shirt provided to race participants was nice and the medal is great as well. Unfortunately, it rained, so the course was WET! We were on a few blocks of pea-sized gravel, which was awful with all the mud and rain already. This is a modestly flat course, which was appreciated with all the other environmental challenges, and the view of the wetlands would have been great, but the need to cross an overflowing river was a bummer. Understandably these are things outside of the race control, its all part of nature and the challenges of outdoor running. While there was not a ton of spectators, those that were out there were very supportive and helped along the soggy miles. Overall, it was a nice race.

This was a great Kentucky race, so much fun! The theme of the race is fantastic, the scenery was wonderful, the weather was great, and the hospitality of the city is inviting. The packet pickup was a bit lack luster, not much going on, although we did appreciate one bourbon tasting there. I loved the start of the race and the Kentucky derby anthem being played, the course is has many rolling hills, but its gorgeous. The after party was like no other race. Highly recommend this memorable race.

This is a small race, but the organizers did a nice job putting on the event. The trail running along the water is very nice, but with the number of participants at times it was difficult to run any other pace than theirs. The course does generally loop around on itself a number of times. I enjoyed running the bridges. The after race food was average and the t-shirt was not much. The medal is neat with the capital building on it.

Beautiful race showcasing the coastline of Maine! I love the start line of the race, but it was challenging to get to with bussing, which resulted in some delay for the beginning of the race. I appreciated the course being run along the beautiful coast, the route was great. The finish area was also challenging to get in and out of, especially for spectators but all of this seems to be due to the growing interest in the race, which is good. It was chilly, but I’m sure this is most likely the best time to hold this event before the tourism influx.

First time to Hilton Head, and loved it! The race production was nice, nothing big or special but nice. The race left from a park which was a bit difficult to get to but, hey its an island, there are only so many roads. As for the race, it ran down the highway, out and back for the most part, which was anticlimactic for such a scenic island. I suppose this was to accommodate all the runners but it sure would have been nice to have seen a bit more beach and ocean. Nonetheless, the finish line was great, loved the beer and food trucks, along with the band. Nice race overall.

As someone from out of state who came just to run this race, I loved the outdoors expo. The weather was perfect for this! Packet pick up went slick the day before the race and the Boulder Mall area was great to experience “all things Boulder.” Race day however, was not such a great experience. Communication as to who needed to line up where was very limited. As a half marathoner we have 10K and 5K people lining up in front of us, resulting in our start of the race to me nearly 35 minutes after the start of the race. Having all these people on the course at this time, resulted in congestion on the course. The last few miles coming back in to Boulder were anti-climatic and boring overall. It would be nice for the race organizers to place some type of DJ or cheer group to encourage the runners. There was a hill right at the end of the course, which was a challenge for certain, all things considered. Maybe the opportunity for the race to run in reverse might have been a more logistical opportunity? Nonetheless, I would believe in a few years this race will be at the top.

This is a trail race, but not like any other trail race I have completed. It was a very smooth and east to navigate course. I was hesitant since it was an out & back, which is not a fav for me, but it was BEAUTIFUL, so glad I got to see it all twice. This course could be messy if there was rain, as the packed ground could turn to mud. The race swag and medals are some of the nicest I have ever received. I enjoyed the packet pickup at the brewery and the food truck at the end was a fun touch. The area is beautiful and lots to do.

This was a great race! The weather was perfect for the 13.1 miles. There is not a ton of course support, but there was some, which was nice. The start area was great, plenty of portapotties for everyone. The finish was fun into the stadium as well. The course had some great scenic areas in the town of Sioux Falls. The packet pickup and expo were pretty small and had limited vendors. Overall this was a decent race.

I get why this is the original Rock N Roll race, and I loved. The course was decent, it had some great parts and some other not so great areas. RnR after party has really changed, not the same as it used to be. The expos are also much smaller and have less offerings. Overall, this was a nice race and the weather was great.

Wow! Texas was a state I had not run in, and I had this weekend open and signed up on a whim, and I am so glad I did. What a great race! This race is so well thought out and prepared for. The packet pickup was fantastic, with plenty of vendors, the start line was very well organized, and course was grand! It is a pretty flat course, but the scenery and spectator support was great. This race really runs through downtown and we saw many stunning sights of this city. There were law enforcement at nearly every street crossing, it was apparent that the safety of the runners was top priority. Love the swag and the medal, so happy to have picked this race for my Texas race. To date, this was the highest race entry fee I paid, but I think it was worth it. Well done race director!

This was a very hilly race, it felt like every mile had its own hill, but WOW the scenery. Asheville was a fantastic town to visit, really easy to fly into, and get around. The race was nicely organized, packet pickup was at a brewery, which was a new experience for me, but fun. The start of the race was ok, the finish up a hill was difficult. The post race gathering was nice, but not large. Such a pretty course and town to visit.

Ran this on a whim. It was a nice race, not large at all. The course was somewhat hilly, but very pretty. We took a ferry to get to Muskegon, so we did not have a car and wanted to stay somewhat near where the race took place. Unfortunately the hotel was extremely overpriced as there was an art fair in town on the same weekend. The finish line was ok, nothing special along with the sway and packet pickup. Again, the views were great, the course was nice.

This was the first RnR in Atlantic City, and as could be expected there were a few challenges. This was the smallest RnR that I have ever been in. I think the concept is great, but not sure if the race will take off or not as other cities have. The reception of the city residents to runners was not so good, as many did not like the streets being closed, even though there were sign posted days in advance. This was my first time to the iconic boardwalk of NJ, and it was not quite what I expected. The amount of homeless in this city is a challenge and that was evident. It was neat to run down the boardwalk for miles, not much for spectator support, but the ocean views were great! There were limited restaurants open at the time of this race, I would suppose a few weeks later the area may have additional options. Travel to this race for me as a midwestern resident was not the easiest. There was just one airline flying into Atlantic City, so we flew into Pittsburgh, PA, and took a train to Atlantic City, which takes a bit of time. The packet pick up was small and the finish line party was just ok.

Ran this race in 2022, because of Covid the course was changed to the NOLA campus area instead of the previous “tour of the town.” There were a number of out and backs, and the course is along the river front which is quite nice, with a decent breeze. The course is generally flat and of course the medal was nice. Since Covid all races have changed and as such this race is no different.

I have run 6 other RnR halfs. I registered for the 2021 race, RnR cancelled the race and deferred it to 2022 – Covid happens right? Well, two days before I was to leave MN for AZ my child tested positive for Covid. I immediately contacted RnR and got no response. My race partner contacted RnR two days later, informing RnR of the scenario and was offered to defer her race entry. I contacted RnR again and was told NO, this would not be offered to me. I had to either show I was positive with Covid or forfeit my fee. Knowing that I could test positive within 14 days I was astounded that RnR would not provide me with a deferral. I am so disappointed with the disparage application of their deferral policies and the idea that they would put profit before runner safety.

The chicks definitely deliver! Thus far I have ran 22 races across the country and this was one of the best organized races and did I mention the medals? The course is moderately challenging. The start and finish line were great, I didn’t mind the modified course, and felt water stops along the way were adequate. To me, the best part of this race was hours after many were finished we walked past the finish line again, to which they were still set up and announcing finishers as they came in. Most races would have torn down and moved on, but not this race, way to support the participants from start to finish!

Great course and views of the city. This course is hilly, maybe I missed that along the way, but there were definitely a number of hills. Loved that this takes you through many interesting places of the city. The water stops were “cupless” and I felt there could have been a few more places for hydration along the way. The support from the community throughout the course was great. Definitely a fun race!

Fun race! In a time where many races were cancelled I am thankful that this race was held. It was interesting that you could start on your own (if you were not a highly competitive runner) and as such I appreciated the opportunity to be socially distant from others. That being said, putting all the runners on just a few buses negated some of that “safety.” There was nice support along the course, and water provided was adequate. The views are simply stunning! The price of the race was very affordable, swag bags were not much, but what more could you need than a view of the Tetons for miles!?!?

This race was AMAZING! In all 20 + half’s around the USA that I have run so far this is at the TOP!
