Packet pickup is a party. Speakers and DJs and yoga classes. And the vendors! The Race particularly aims at local black owned businesses. I didn’t just buy from them. I had a conversation with them. It’s that kind of event.
You can buy extra gear to rep The Race all year. Jacket, hat, extra shirt. And there is a day of service the day after.
The course is pretty hilly but does include part of the belt line, so Art Work! Party after the race too. You will think after 13.1 you have no energy. Put on some Frankie Beverly and prove yourself wrong!

This race was really great!! It was like a family reunion with a lot of your social media followers/friends. Great run course, great volunteering, cheer squads. There was a warm up before the race with stretching and moving. I would definitely do this race again.
