This race was awesome. Email and social media updates prior to the weekend was great. I stayed at the Marriott downtown and was within walking distance of start/finish/expo. Decent amount of places around to carb load. Expo was small but I also came 2 hours before it closed. I got my customary beer glass. It was a cold, sunny day- great for running! Course was nice and flat with downhills and a couple of hills- a really steep one right around mile 7-8ish. Running the bridge was the best part of the course. Afterwards they had bananas, soda, cheez-its, chips, and beer garden which I didn’t visit. Medal is much bigger than I thought it would be. It was a great day! 🙂

Awesome race weekend! Beautiful, sunny day. Kinda cold at the start for me but I warmed up quick. Small expo for such a big event but all the essentials were there. I took the train in as I live locally but didn’t want to fool with parking. Short walk to Centennial Park. Gear check great. Thousands of people milling around- just the way I like it! And it was Olympic Trials weekend for the Marathon so all the qualifiers were at our start line shivering with the rest of us. Course had lots of rolling hills at beginning and end. They had GU on the course but I carry my own Sports beans. They had oranges at mile 11 and I couldn’t wait for them but then I ran right by them LOL. Lots of fluid stations on course. At the finish-Water, chocolate milk, and Powerade, Bananas, fruit cups, Publix sandwiches (OMG so good). Heavy, beautiful medal. Great atmosphere. I stuck around to watch the faster marathoners finish and then headed home. Will be back next year!

Great race. Beautiful scenery, especially with all the snow. One huge hill, but the rest were normal GA hills. Good communication on social media. DJ was good at start and finish. Medal is nice and the finishers blanket was a great touch! Pancakes, coffee, donut holes, bananas, granola bars at the finish. I don’t normally repeat races but I may do this one again!

Awesome race. Love the chocolate. Hate the hills. Easy logistics to get to the race- pay for parking or take MARTA train right to the event. Good weather. Wasn’t too frosty. Post race chocolate bowl with Honey Stinger waffle. NUUN hydration (my new favorite) on course and after race.

My first out of state race. It was awesome. Fly in, 15min uber ride to downtown hotel, did the 5k and half which started and ended in 4 different spots downtown and all walkable. Its a huge race so you can’t get lost to the start or from the finish. Not much scenery. Only one hill that had an effect on me. Expo great, spent lots of money. Love RNR races!

My first half after a 7 year break. Wow what an experience! Expo was live, communication via email and social media was excellent. Watch for the hill on mile 12 but the finishers area was rockin! Definitely a repeat race for me!
