The Race – A deep dive into Black Culture & Run Culture and the intersection of the two!
The Race is a road race weekend event that supports black owned businesses, neighborhoods, and charities, committed to delivering a top-notch, world-class race with excellence at every step. The Race weekend features a live expo, half marathon and 5K race, virtual options to participate from your hometown, and Community Impact Service Day. A race for the Culture by the Culture!
The Race will positively impact the community in the following manner:
– Service projects will be organized and executed in partnership with local charities and organizations
– The community will be actively engaged in the course planning and volunteer opportunities.
– The Race weekend will conclude with a Charitable Impact Service Project and Wrap Up Party on Sunday
– $5 of EVERY race registration fee will put into a Charitable Impact Fund and given directly to community charities and organizations within the neighborhoods we run through and that support The Race initiative.
– Participants will have an opportunity to contribute directly to Charity Partners via RunSignUp Impact.

It’s a total weekend event which begins on Thursday at the meet and greet. I loved the exercise classes at the expo and the lululemon giveaways. The race itself was well organized and it’s Atlanta so yes there are hills. The swag was top notch I loved the party before and after the race

You can buy extra gear to rep The Race all year. Jacket, hat, extra shirt. And there is a day of service the day after.
The course is pretty hilly but does include part of the belt line, so Art Work! Party after the race too. You will think after 13.1 you have no energy. Put on some Frankie Beverly and prove yourself wrong!
