This race was near the waste water station, which we ran past twice. The course stunk. It was a pretty race, along the river and through a park. I finished at 3 hours 30 seconds and was disappointed they were already packing up snacks and no one was there to hand me my medal, I just found the medals on a table and took one.

It was a good race me and my dad did the stooge. We were disappointed by a few things one the national anthem was played in thought was odd, the other when yoy sign up for any race you get a drink ticket but when yoy sign up for the stooge there was only one ticket if you do all three races you should have 3 tickets. The other there was no aid station for the 5k. First.race I ever did with it like that. Its only a 5k but for whatever reason just have it mouth was super dry that day. Other then that it was a fun race I will do it again but if the national anthem doesn’t get played the 2025 will be my last year.

Well, the race was very small, the staff and volunteers did a wonderful job. It started out with a beautiful Sunday morning and cool temps. Lots of aid stations and course support along the mighty Missouri River, and then the Floyd river going from Iowa to Nebraska, and then back to Iowa. While passing an aid station at about mile 17, I asked for Gatorade and was told it was only a water station. Well about a half a mile later, the young girl from the aid station came running up to me with a bottle of Gatorade and a cup. Those are volunteers to go way above and beyond. It was really cool starting indoors at the expo center, and then finishing indoors at the expo center with your video on the Jumbotron. Add to make it even more of the personal experience, the race Director himself was at the finish line handing out metals to all the finishers.
Enjoyed myself so much I may come back and run it as my Nebraska marathon also,
