Highly recommend this runnable trail 50K. Great organizers and fairly easy course (3 10.5 miles loops). Great support on the course, volunteers who know what they are doing. Great fall weather makes this race nearly an ideal trail run. Highly recommend to everyone, including new trail runners. This will make you fall in love with the sport

For the race that costs only $50, it’s a very well run race with plenty of extremely enthusiastic and kind volunteers, hydration stations and great swag. Unfortunately they ran out of Gatorade but if you’re an experienced marathoner (and slow one on top), you’ll show up prepared. Gels are not provided. Finish area festival is fantastic, has plenty of real food and drinks. Well sponsored race. Yes, this course is very hilly. You get some downhills and short flat stretches, but keep the need to climb in mind. Will absolutely run this again.

Beautiful course on the rail trail (paved), very flat, although my Garmin showed some elevation. Perhaps it’s very gradual. Despite being a new race, it’s well organized, fully supported and the swag is great (tote, pint glass, t-shirt, medal, stickers etc). Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a PR too.

Very hilly, tough course. Two 13.1 miles loops. Despite the name, only 1 performer on the course. ZERO spectators, not one during the whole race. Water every 2 miles. Non existent expo, just a table with bibs and shirts on the green lawn by the Capitol. The post race party fully wrapped up before I finished (6 hrs 9 min), although the course limit is 7 hours. Medals are fine, but the ribbon says Continental, an airline company that doesn’t exist anymore… Basically, it only makes sense to run this race if you need MS for your 50 states.

Amazingly organized and supported race. Spectators exceeded all my expectations, some aid stations didn’t just have extra water, but also baked goods (including cakes!) candy, snacks and juice shots. Very well supported race overall, with seamless morning bib pick up. I wish the cut off was longer or they had an early start so more people can experience this race

I’ve been wanting to run this marathon for many years and finally got to do it in 2023. Turned out to be an absolutely amazing experience, my only regret is waiting for so long to run it. Very easy commute to the start, right by the Babylon LIRR train station, seamless bib pick up. The course is very scenic, crossing I think at least 3 bridges, very windy, so be prepared. Absolutely beautiful, scenic course. Volunteers were wonderful, but I suggest bringing your own water bottle and minimal nutrition. Great post race party, they keep food and extra swag for slow runners. The race ends in East Islip I think and there are shuttle buses that take you back to the Babylon LIRR station. Very well organized finish line. Comparing to other quite boring Long Island marathons, this one is a winner. Will absolutely run it again.

It’s one of the best organized marathons I’ve ever run. NYC, Philadelphia and Atlanta are now my top 3 marathons. World class expo, fantastic scenic course but also quite hilly! Expo is right by the aquarium and 2 major museums. I visited both a day before the race. I am definitely considering coming back and further exploring the beautiful city of Atlanta.
