This was an interesting race, my second 10K since knee surgery. The day before the event, I drove four hours to attend a two hour conference. After the conference, I got back on the road and drove another four hours to return to the county where the race would take place.

That night, I managed to get only two to three hours of sleep. On race morning, I didn’t have time to eat breakfast or even drink coffee, so I started the race completely fasted. The heat and humidity were intense throughout the event, making the conditions especially challenging.

Despite the lack of sleep, long hours of driving, physical and mental fatigue, and difficult weather conditions, I was able to finish the race faster than my previous 10K the month before. Overall, it was a solid performance and a rewarding race, considering everything working against me that day.

This was my first 10K since my knee surgery, just 3 weeks ago. At the beginning, I started by walking fast because I wasn’t sure if my knee could handle the impact of running. After about 0.5 km, I started jogging and felt really good. Since my knee was responding well, I continued with run/walk intervals throughout the race.

My goal was simply to finish the 10K in 1:45:00 because of the recent surgery, but I ended up finishing in 1:27:23. I’m happy with my performance and grateful that my knee felt strong during the race. Hopefully, I can do even better in the next one.

This half marathon was my first, and it came with some tough circumstances. I ran the race while dealing with a serious knee injury that required surgery later that same week—my procedure was scheduled for Thursday, just a few days after race day on Sunday. The weather was extremely humid, which made the run even more challenging. I also made the mistake of carrying a 32 oz water vest, something I had never trained with before. Despite all these difficulties, it was still a great experience, and I’m proud that I pushed through and finished.

We had a great time in this race. With a bit more experience in 5Ks, I decided to step up to a 10K, my first at that distance. I was a little nervous about going farther, but confident in my abilities.

At the time, I was already dealing with a knee injury, which later required surgery, making the experience even more challenging and meaningful. It was a new challenge, and a really rewarding one. On to more!

This race was a bit different. I ran it alongside someone very special in my life, which made it even more meaningful. The photos turned out great. I kept my partner’s pace, slightly slower than my usual, but we had an amazing time together. An unforgettable experience. On to the next run!

I really enjoyed participating in the Michael J. Fox 5K Race 2025. The event was very well organized from start to finish, and everything ran smoothly. Even though it was a smaller race, the atmosphere was friendly, welcoming, and very enjoyable. The course had a few small hills, but they were manageable and added a nice challenge without being too difficult. The volunteers and staff were supportive, and the overall experience was excellent. I would definitely recommend this race to others and would happily participate again in the future.

This was my third race. It was especially interesting because it wasn’t on pavement, but on gravel, something I had never experienced in a 5K before. Our gear wasn’t really suited for that kind of terrain, but we still managed to complete it without any issues. It was a great new experience on our journey. Excellent.

This was my second 5K race ever. I participated in an official running event the month before, and I wasn’t familiar with how this one worked, but it turned out to be an unforgettable experience. My lack of experience and limited fitness didn’t discourage me; instead, they motivated me to keep training, improving, and pushing myself further. I made a commitment to continue running, to grow, and to reach new levels. Let’s keep it up!

I participated in a 5K race in Harris County and had an amazing experience from start to finish. The course was well organized, the volunteers were encouraging, and the atmosphere was full of positive energy. I loved seeing runners of all skill levels come together and support each other throughout the event. The route was easy to follow, and the post-race celebration made it even more memorable. This race was a fantastic community event and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and motivating 5K experience in the Houston area.
