I paid extra for the long sleeved hooded sweatshirt but it was much thinner than expected. It was cool to have the giant 13.1 to pose with, though the line for the photo was quite long. Almost missed the free donut but had to go back for it 😋 🍩
Good course
The course was well managed by volunteers and law enforcement. Temp was 36º at start and around 42º at finish. There was PLENTY of parking. Plenty of port-a-potties at the … MORE
The course was well managed by volunteers and law enforcement. Temp was 36º at start and around 42º at finish. There was PLENTY of parking. Plenty of port-a-potties at the start of race, and plenty of aid stations on the course. I would run this again.

This series with the new owners have declined their standards after years of attending cypress half . One aid station ran out of water , there’s only one camera man so those expecting free pics it’s not guaranteed. The swag is mediocre the medal is mediocre. I only ran this race because the date is sentimental to me but as a personal choice it’s a below average race standard comparing to Sugarland Half and Houston Half . 👎👎

Decent Swag this year. The course has been the same all 3 years of the race through the NW Houston suburbs of Fairfield. I will continue to run the race in the future, since it is nice and close to where I live, has plenty of parking at the HS and I liked that the post race area was in the high school cafeteria.
