This run is definitely up hill after about 3/4 of a mile but the positive is that you get to come back down the hill to make up some time. Wide running paths. no problem with the dogs and lots of snacks at the start as well with your meal at the end. My only complaint is that I thought we were getting a matching race medal with our dog but dogs received a thick plastic dog tag.

This run had amazing course support with the residents putting sprinklers out in the more rural sections along with the more suburban sections. Aid stations were about every 2 miles, overall it was a great race. Not a lot of extra swag in the bag if that’s what you’re into. You get a shirt, your bib, free meal & beer after the race along with the race medal πŸ…

One big hill to conquer but it’s smooth sailing the rest of the run. It was a cluster for packet pickup and getting your shirt at the end of the run. The lines were long and it took so long to get your finisher shirt. They did have lots of beverages including beer and snacks to replenish and celebrate!

Swag was ok and packet pickup was quick and easy at the Nike store. It was fun to see people rock climbing on a couple sections of the marathon, kind of makes me want to give it a shot. My only complaint was because of the porta-potties, there would be a max of 2 at each section and there was always a line so you will lose some time if you need to use one.
