Great race director. Race day packet pickup is available. Free parking near race start/finish. Well stocked aid stations often on the course. Fantastic volunteers. Course is on bike paths along the creek. Most of the course is away from any traffic, but the course does cross a few streets. There is police support for the faster runners to keep you running, but slow pokes like me can get caught at a light or two. Street tacos (chicken or pork) for runners after the race. A good choice to add to your calendar.

This was part of a smaller race series. Basically run along the bike trails along the river so no much to look at. By the time I crossed the finish line they had run out of medals. They did mail it to me. Took about 2-3 weeks.

I had friends run this and they ran out of t-shirts and medals. Race director pays to have nice reviews put on Facebook and deletes comments that make him look bad. Worst race director in California.

This person has a lot of negative reviews...might say more about her than the actual race.

All “Elite Sports California” races are a joke. Packet pickups are unorganized, they still use those crappy reusable timing chips, courses are painfully boring, age group “prizes” are usually cheap. Races get cancelled for no reason and it’s impossible to get a refund or transfer. Race director doesn’t pay his charities. He is a crook that is just out to put money in his pocket by putting on cheap, poorly run events. Serious road racers need to avoid these at all costs.

great volunteers on the course with water and gatorade but you need to bringb your own gu the police were great at stopping traffic an nd trhen even offered me their coffee it was a flat course and the creek would have been nicer if it was not year 4 of a drought, Race started on time with chipper anouncer. Logo for the race with cute and that was why I signed up. My own complaint is that it said tech tee shirt and it was Haines cotton tee It should have said what it was,,,,shirt to wear after the race….We lucked out and it was not in the 100, Plenty of parking and it was out an back on bike trails so you could nt get lost.. great race value with pancakes after you finished

This was an out and back along the Arroyo Creek course with gentle rolling hills and lots of shady trees. There were plenty of aid stations and porta-potties and a well supported race all in all. The race shirt is cute too, with a bullfrog running on it. It may be that 2014 was just fortunate, because an August race in Simi Valley could have been a disaster, but our temperatures were a mild high 70s. This was a small race with a pretty non-competitive field so it is an easy race to place in age group.
