My husband loves the Beatles so he was very happy to go to Liverpool to run, we had a great time. There was a point on the course that was along the river that was long and boring, but other than that it was great. Highly recommend taking the trip.

Relatively flat race with long low-grade downhill segments. Starts and finishes on the coast. You run by the football stadiums of Liverpool and Everton, go through the center of the city on Mathew street past the Cavern Club and then travel around Sefton Park (to name a few of the highlights). I loved spending time in Liverpool and plan to return. The event was well-organized, it had moderate sized Expo, not all miles had bands playing and the gels should been offered at different mile markers then selected (7.2, 15.7, 18.3 and 22.2). The festival after the race was a great plus.
