Beautiful, fast course. Be prepared to run faster the first half than the second, and then to not be able to walk for three days after. This is definitely a BQ possible course, but if you’re not from altitude you’ll want to adjust in Denver for a few days to acclimate before race day.

Revel does a great job. I just cannot run downhill and then run rollers at my age. I thought I trained well but the rollers on the Evergreen Parkway wiped me out. The scenery was spectacular. Revel does a great job with their races – this was my third. The SWAG was first rate and the race production was top-notch. Coach Paul really helped me out before the run and I think it would have been worse had I not spoken with him.

Amazing run! Great weather at the top and really well organized!

The first 12 miles were FAST and downhill. Watch out for elevation as it really is tough to get your breath.

Mile 12-15ish we’re challenging due to the uphill battle.

The final stretch was through the mountains and quite lovely.

Don’t forget / skip leg day!! Your legs will be on fire once you hit evergreen parkway. The last 4-6 miles are definitely challenging cause you don’t have any major down hill like the first 11 miles. Just hydrated often and trust the process.

This was a downhill marathon with plenty of uphill in the middle. The downhill felt great, the uphill was long and more challenging. The slope of some of the turns was pretty steep as well, making it hard on the legs. Overall this was a great race with great scenery and a good 1st marathon to run.

Beautiful views await you at the start line before your 2 hour long downhill stroll. Course has some minor uphill sections at the halfway point in Evergreen, CO (which can be tough with the altitude for those that are not acclimated) but otherwise is a quad pounding slope that wears on you after awhile. Lots of great swag provided and RD does a good job of providing lots of amenities and vendors at the expo and finish line. Only thing that stinks is that you have to get up super early to ride a bus to the top of a cold mountain.

Well organized race, pretty views, and great volunteers. Loved that they give you gloves and blankets while you wait for the race to start. Would have been very cold without them! Did a great job of keeping everything organized from the busses to get you to the start line, local police keeping roads closed (sorry locals) and everyone on route, and the festivities at the end. Would definitely suggest this race for anyone who is looking for something downhill.

This was my fourth time running Revel Rockies. This race is well organized and I’m planning on running it again. Every time I run it, I get closer to BQ. I’m hoping that one day it will happen. Be ready to be on the bus at 3:30 in the morning. So if you are not an early riser, this race is not for you.

The race is well organized. They give out nice swag. The Expo was a little small. Be sure to arrive on time for buses. The sceneries absolutely beautiful. The second half got a little warm. The second half you also ran next to a river or stream. I finished as the finish line was wrapping up. So I didn’t get my free beer unfortunately. But overall I really enjoy the Revel race series

First, I didn’t train as well as I should have. I wouldn’t say i’m the runners runner but I definitely completed the course and while it had it’s moments, it’s still very doable for even a novice. For most of the run, you’re alongside a creek and it’s simply stunning. Most of what keeps you going here is the weather, scenery and of course the stellar production that Revel puts into it.

Overall, I think the race was tough, but if prepared it was very doable to get you a PB. The first half of the race is very quick and manageable, then the second half gets a little more technical with planning out effort as there are more rolling hills and less tree coverage. The course was beautiful and starts out above 10K feet with great mountain views. The aid stations were well staffed and there was great support of road blocks throughout. The packet pick-up was also very easy, although it would’ve been nice to have an option to pick it up on Thursday vs. the day before the race. Definitely will be doing this race again.

I’ve never done a downhill race and loved it. Unfortunately, I did not train for this race and was very concerned that I would be extremely sore or not finish. I haven’t ran other than a handful of times in the last two years and never over six miles and still loved this race. It’s making me want to get back to it, and more than likely travel to California to do Big Bear. I’m from Oklahoma and it’s pretty flat here, so training with hills isn’t really my thing, but I now know these races are still very doable for me. Can’t wait for the next one!

This course was gorgeous. Mountain views of snow caps, descending into cute little towns with rivers and streams, surrounded by nature. Loved every turn. The net downhill was killer though and my legs paid the price. Running a Revel has been on my list for so long. It did not disappoint. It was well organized, had a great expo and swag, and I felt like they thought of everything. I cannot wait to run another Revel (but this time I will train for the downhills).
