I love running Canadian races–the people are so friendly, the scenery is spectacular and their accents, eh? The weather was beautiful, cold but not freezing. The PPU was well run and quite well stocked. I easily walked to the start line from my hotel downtown (Hotel Saskatchewan) which saved the hassle of parking. The race is pancake flat. They had flags for all the states and countries of participants at the start/finish which was really nice. Good food after, medal was nice and did I mention the rabbits that were big enough to put saddles on and ride?

Organizers and volunteers are really friendly and very motivated to show the best of their city. Free photos post race! Flawless organization.

First time visiting Saskatchewan. Very well organized event. Ran through the best of the city and probably 70% was park area. Well supported. Small expo but all vendors had their goods on sale which was great. Best after race spread I think I’ve encountered thus far, allowing runners to have Coke/Spite and chocolate milk and a couple non-alcoholic beers plus lots of food. Race photos were free. If you have a hope of qualifying for Boston this flat course is an excellent choice. Went into this nursing an injury so it was all about just finishing. Intervals were my strategy and it worked. 2nd goal was not to get further injured. 3rd goal was to not be slower than my worst time. Managed all 3.
