It is a well put together race. I was impressed with the assortment of snacks and drinks at the finish line. It wasn’t my best race, wasn’t the worst. I struggled with the elevation as someone from the coast. I had tummy troubles near the end and had to walk some. I’ve ran a lot of half marathon races and this still was a decent chip time for me. The flat course helped with my pacing for sure. Overall, beautiful race and good vibes. I would recommend this race!

The course is flat with couple light hills. It was very hot, elevation is something to consider. My heart rate was jumping up after one lap due to a heat and elevation probably. Overall production was very good, they even offer compression sleeves sessions at the finish line, food beverages. It’s a small race, but well organized, they offer pocket pickup before a race too.
I stayed at Twin lakes Inn which is roughly 3.8 miles from reservoir. I took bus from Denver airport (AB1 gate 8) for $10 to boulder bus station, then bus 205 which goes by Twin Lakes Inn.

– NO SHADE whatsoever, lucked out since the sun wasn’t out but could be brutal otherwise
– It’s not a flat course… total ascent is 700 ft over the 4 laps. 3 hills to be really manage.. 2 big and 1 small

The course is around the Boulder reservoir, so beautiful with the flatirons as the backdrop. The parking, packet pickup, restrooms and timing was incredibly coordinated. There were plenty of fuel stations and everyone was so nice. The hills at miles 1, 3 and 5 were killer, but balanced out with some well earned downhills. Definitely would do this race again.
