Join this August for the BAD DAWG Ultra Endurance Run! This no-frills, gun start, 100M/100K/50M/50K race and 12 mile run/ruck is the perfect event for those people who love running for a purpose. And the purpose is this… to provide a new pair of shoes to every Elementary student in the Laquey school district as part of the HFPC’s (Healthy Futures Pulaski County) OneSolePurpose project.
This out-and-back course (10 mile loop) will give you a few rolling hills and lots of flat gravel with tree-lined country views. This is a great race for those first-time ultra runners and also for those wanting a shorter distance. This is an event put on by ultrarunners for ultrarunners…for a great cause!!
There will be individual Age Group Awards for all distances. 100 Mile Finishers will receive a custom belt buckle and bumper sticker! 100K, 50M & 50K finishers will receive a custom medal and bumper sticker! All 12 mile runners and ruckers will receive a one-of-a-kind medal!
Plus, a FREE pasta party the night before! And a FREE pancake breakfast the morning of!
Presented by the Healthy Futures Pulaski County Coalition and the Frog Fitness Group, all proceeds benefit our OneSolePurpose project that provides a new pair of shoes to every elementary student in Pulaski County’s Title I schools. Very well organized trailish race on rolling gravel roads, A little hillier than i expected, glad i was done by the time it was heating up. By starting at 6am you can get a few miles in in the cooler morning hours. I rand one of the loops used for the real endurance races, with an extra mile on it. Very nice swag and lots of snacks, like fireball!. May see me again next year.
Enjoyable Small Town Run

This was mostly country gravel roads except a bit of pavement at the beginning and the end (since it was out and back)… not too bad on elevation except mile 6 was straight uphill before going back down in for mile 7. There were a couple of places where the road divided, and it was unclear which way to go. Fortunately I made the right choices, but I saw someone else who didn’t and caught up with me later. Very pretty scenery. Swag was simple… a patch and a keychain… which was nice since I have lots of shirts and medals already! Would run again!
