Christian Pfluegler's Staging Area

Technical trail with some elevation on two loops – East and West each 10 miles – to be repeated according specific race (10m, 20m, 50k, 50m) and a special 5mile loop for the 5mile race; East Loop from my perspective more difficult then West Loop; hard to run without rain, even more difficult with rain; runners could switch to the lower distance during the race; no medals, no swags; very good aid stations; trail markers were good with different colors and additionally chalk markers on the ground, for me easy to find; some markers were stolen, you had to be concentrated; it might be good to have a gpx-track available; the provided map was hardly useable, especially once it starts raining; every loop starts and ended at starting area, so you could reach your car for supply, campground was there for own support areas; maybe it would be good to consider offering g a trail marathon also with one East, one West and the additional 5miles loop, this would contain all different loops without repeating them. Due to the difficulty this would have been better for me. To sum it up: Nice Trail,

Plenty of water points, well organized, friendly supporter, heavy rain during 4 hours – No fault of organization, nevertheless all supporters were in best mood and motivational for all runners, all in all a good race and worthwhile coming back
