LOADS OF SWAG! 5 hour course limit, but runners can start early (I did). Few participants in full marathon. Few spectators. Distance markers every 5km/3 mi. Long lonely out & back miles. Final six miles through park were pretty, but hilly. Some crushed gravel trail.

4 mile loop, run as many loops as you can (or want to) in 6 hours.
well supported (abundant refreshments at water stop, plentiful post race food)
it’s a pretty enough trail in places, but after multiple loops it kind of loses it charm
GREAT restrooms facilities! not just portajohns 😉

Vast race expo. Race day – Leave extra time to get into your starting corral… Fenced off & difficult to find entry points! On course nutrition = piles of raisins, sugar cubes, orange slices & bottles of water. Large post-race area for runners only. Pick meeting point in advance!

Tough trail course. Very hilly, very narrow in sections which made moving aside for returning runners a bit difficult in places. Ex2 Adventures always puts on a great race. Good post run food. Great volunteers.

Do not expect spectators. Trail shared with non-race participants. Some stretches shaded, but most in direct sun. Few entry points for water stops and medical support. 2nd half of marathon is a repeat of the 1st.
