The Annapolis Striders are proud to bring you the annual Endless Summer 6 Hour Run.
This event is a proud benefactor of the Semper Fi Fund-a 501(c)(3) non-profit entity. A small portion of the race entry fee will go to benefit this fund. We ask that you consider contributing further when asked during Ultra Signup check out.
As a throwback to that cinematic masterpiece, we would like to invite you to what will be an special event. If you’ve a) been considering running an ultramarathon, b) looking for a supported run in prep for another race, c) always wanted to run a relay event with a couple of friends, or d) want to experience a difference aspect of running AND meet some new friends, then sign up today!
The Endless Summer 6 Hour Run course is 2.50 miles in length that adds a loop out onto Possum Point. You will get the same (I think better) view of the Chesapeake Bay and Bay Bridge. Unfortunately, this does eliminate the certified marathon course that would have been associated with original course.
There will be one aid station at the start. The course is a loop so you will pass by the aid station with each loop
Awards
Awards to overall Solo Runners (Male/Female/Masters categories), overall relay team *3 runners per team* (Male/Female/Mixed categories), and top Male/Female in 10-year age groups (29&Under through 60&Up) covering the most distance within the time limits. Medals to all participants.
Premium
The premium is a sport duffel bag with the endless summer logo. Due to production timelines there will be a TBD cutoff.

It was a well organized event and the short course was easy to follow. The course was changed from a ~4 mile loop to a ~2.4 mile loop because the Navy was having live artillery practice. We heard lot of gun fire during the 1st part of the race which was a great motivation to run :-)There was one aid station with snacks, ice water, and Gatorade. They had a seperate ice water tube with towels and an ice only cooler. I took full advantage of both as the day got hotter. The towel were great for keeping your body temp down. The view of the Chesapeake Bay and Bay Bridge were beautiful! Also we ran past the parking lot so many people crewed themselves from their car. I will definitely do this next year. I will also try a run/walk strategy next year too. I ran the 1st 4 hours with no issue then 11am hit with 100 degree temps and I hit a hall. I walked the last 2 hours which was hard. I’m looking forward to next year!

The weather was unseasonably cool this year!
Car checkin (covid precaution) caused start to be pushed back 30 minutes.
4.25 mile loop, flat gravel trail in sun for 67%, a third on trails in shade (in two sections).
Really well done. You go through the parking area once per loop—access to your stuff! (No aid stations because of covid).
My first six hour race! It was challenging and fun, lots of encouragement from other runners in the course. A local race for me; signed up ten days out, but it did sell out. Cute ss cotton tee and crabthemed medal
ran it as a 20 mile training run
