Nani Lauriano Luculescu's Staging Area

It’s my therapy!  I began running in memory of my dad, my hero, Steve Lauriano.  He contracted Lyme disease in the high Sierra’s and died of Lyme induced ALS in just 5 years from infection.  It was devestating and rocked my world…I fell into a deep depression, gained a ton of weight and was just in a really bad place mentally.  I started running and I enjoyed the solitude and time away with nature.  I ran a 10K, then 2 half marathons, then a Ragnar Relay.  In one year, I had transformed my mind and body and have since added several more races under my belt, with the 2015 Long Beach Marathon being my biggest race yet.  I love sharing the blessing that running has given me and inspiring others, especially my 2 young daughters, Kyra (13) & Ava (11).
