I “celebrated” my 50th lifetime half marathon in Celebration. It is a FLAT course, almost too flat if you like a little change. It passed my 3 requirements: national anthem, start on time and plenty of water. Great after party with free food from local restaurants, beer and mimosas. The two years I did it (2018 and 2020) the extra swag was a super soft fleece blanket!! Will be back.

This race was not overwhelmingly amazing but would do it again if in the area. We did race day packet pickup and that went smoothly. There was beer and a band at the finish. The only negative was there was no shirt. I am planning on making a quilt out of my 50 state race shirts so had this been my first GA race I would have been bummed. However, if you have plenty of race shirts already than it is a positive that they gave out a duffle bag instead. Savannah itself was awesome with tons to do. We walked another 9 miles that afternoon seeing all the sites. Great town to visit!!!

My first year doing this race. I ran the challenge (15K, 5K and Half). The expo was awesome (spent $$$) the bling was gorgeous and love the challenge jacket. The weather was great this year (2018), a but warm but overall cant complain. The negatives would have to be that all 3 races ran up and down Bayshore – would have liked more variety. Also, the food at the finish was super crowded but the beer and music was at a completely different location 2 blocks away. Much more room to move at the party. Would do it again.

This was my second full marathon so I knew a bit more what to expect. The first half of the course was great – shady and up and down. The second half leveled out and was just HOT by the time I reached it. There were plenty of aid stations and I loved that multiple ones had gel/fuel as well as water and electrolytes. The last few water stops even had ICE. So much appreciated. Since it was a PR for me I was bummed they didnt have a PR Bell to ring. The fruit enhanced ice water and live music at the finish line festival was greatly appreciated as well.

Overall I would recommend this race. It is small so you are never crowded. Water stations are almost every mile!!! The only negative was a lack of direction in some areas. They had fliers on poles/trees telling you which way to go but it made you think twice before making a turn. Also, at the finish line there was no bottle of water, just little cups like on the course. Nice shirt and medal was just OK. I would run this race again.

I love these guys. Ran 2 of their races last year. Yellowstone was tough!!! It is a trail race!!!!! Steep up and steep down. Gorgeous scenery if you can take your eyes off the course long enough to look around. Smores at the finish line are a bonus 🙂 Great bling too! Looking forward to doing The Everglades next.

Very well run race series. They really communicate all details perfectly. GU and electrolytes at every aid station. Bling is amazing!! Since I train at sea level the elevation was a killer but the view kept you going. Jackson Hole is a great place to spend some time. Weather was perfect! Highly recommend this race!!

First time doing this race. If you are looking for a race in Michigan I recommend this one. Free shuttle from the hotel to and from the race. Indoor place to stay warm before the race. Free meal after the race. Tons of cheering support along the course. Gummie bears and popsicles stops on the course. Scenic finish around a lake. Double bling if you run Indy or Kenosha the day before. Overall a great experience!!!
