This race was so well run. easy to park, great course, bathroom lines were no more than 10 minutes, great beer, great park to chill at afterwards. For a large half marathon, everything was just so easy. Has got to be the best spring DC race. A little chilly, but perfect running weather!

Perfect weather. Best race route in DC if you ask me. Overall really fun time, will run it again. CONS: Crowds (super crowded but what can you do), Corrals are really weridly set up, hard to get to your corral, never enough port-o-potties (there was no joke over 200 people in front of my just in my line and the same for the other 30 lines, and the weridest thing of all was you have to buy a metal seperatly and then after the rae go line up for your metal about a half mile away at a table accross the field. Just make the metal part of the bib cost and hand them out at the finish line like every other race? Post race snacks are lacking.
Still a fun time!

Great race today. Weather was perfect for the first half, and then the sun came out and it got very warm the 2nd half. The calvert hill is always a killer. The rolling hills on the back half are no joke either.

I really enjoyed this race. Nice relatively flat course. Shirts were great quality and got a beach towel too. I thought it was very well put on and look forward to running next year too.
My only complaint is the brutal walk to parking or metro after the race. After running 13.1 miles needing to immediately walk for 30 minutes to the nearest parking/metro is the last thing we need. Someone I was with was not feeling so great after and light headed and felt like we were in Siberia verses getting to transportation after. Maybe change the Start/Stop to anywhere closer?

Another great race put on that starts at Mount Vernon. Could have used another water stop, but overall fantastic race. I loved finishing in front of GW’s house, but the gravel was so slippery the last 25 yards or heading to the finish line. Really enjoyed walking the grounds after and drinking some post-race beers.

The course is challenging with the rolling hills, long uphill’s, and the out and back nature of it. It was a hot day with the sun beating down. Just get to the race at least an hour early since parking traffic is wild!
HOWEVER: This is the BEST race production I have ever seen in any race ever!
-Plenty of port-o-pottys, only 2 people in line in front of me 15 minutes before the race started.
-Start line was well organized
-So many water stops and so many police blocking roads and helping
-Amazing finish line
Post race snacks were great
-ICE COLD TOWELS were amazing, every race should do this!
-Great post race party and so easy to find family after the race
Suggestion: Have draft beer after the race, with the option to buy more and keep the party going!

Great race. Need to get to the race early to find parking. I was able to park right near the starting line. Weather was rainy and cold but what can you do. Amazing hoodie as swag and cool sunglasses medal. Nice views of the ocean.
Only con is they do not have all the roads blocked off so you are running with traffic on the side of the road and crossing the road trying not to get hit by cars.

Great course, love this race. Always is the start of summer for me.
My main issue with this event is that the after party could be so good if they let you drink more than one beer! Once the party starts, it seems to end quicky once the one beer runs out.

Weather was great and crowds were heavy! Lots of people on the course, we were packed in like sardines. Actual race was great, however the post-race was a shit show. No medals, 90 minute wait times to collect bag drop off, and shirts sucked.

Weather was near perfect. Great race as always. I will never get used to that hill around mile 7, wrecks me every time. I felt like I was killing it, and that hill took all the gas out of my tank.
The expo sucked as usual, but what are you gunna do. Never enough port-o-johns, but that’s typical of every race.
The after party should be better, but option to buy beer and keep it going after the race.
