This is an amazing race. What a great tour of London and some fantastic sights. Thoroughly enjoyed every second!

Negatives: Very little swag except a shirt. Only a bottle of water at the finish – zero food so plan accordingly. They should do a better job marking how to get back to the underground after the race.

But now I’m nitpicking. Would definitely run again.

What an amazingly well out on race. Boonsboro was so very welcoming. The volunteers and aid stations are truly special!! The course is about 3,000 feet total elevation with most of that on the AT but don’t be fooled, definite elevation gains in the rollers also towards the back end.

AT portion is great. Very rocky. I ran the whole race in road shoes. If I do it again, I’ll wear trail shoes and switch in Weaverton. I pushed too hard on the AT and so affected my overall time, but this section was so fun. Once I passed some folks and got into a clearing mostly by myself, it was much easier from a crowd standpoint.

C/O. A marathon here. The aid stations are amazing. Home made beautiful cookies, burgers and dogs, pierogies, potatoes, French fries, potato chips, broth. These folks go all out.

Road. Rolling hills. Road. A few aid stations with great support. Just excited to see each mile clicking down from 8 to 1 to the finish.

Food at the end was subway which was great. Food trucks there also. Shuttles to run you back to parking lots.

All in all. An amazing experience. Truly special for me.

Great host town!! Chattanooga puts on an amazing race weekend. Everyone was great! The swim is super fast and I was 15% faster than my normal swim due to the current. The bike course is beautiful, but a bit hilly for this Florida boy. Nevertheless, it was a lot of fun. The run is a 2-loop course. Good course support. Nice run. It can and has been very hot on past race days but this day was absolutely beautiful weather. Could not have asked for a better day. I’ll race it again!

Great race. Great energy. Train a bit for hills due to the bridges. Amazing crowd support. One of the 6 world majors AND in NYC so what else do you need to know!!

Fantastic support. Great crowds. Swim is cancelled more frequently than you would think and it was when I participated as well.

Overall. Would participate again.

Great race and fantastic intro to an ultra distance as my first 50k. RD is awesome. Set up was great as a double loop. Nice scenery. I was able to run it in my normal Brooks I trail shoes were necessary. Course was not technical. Really a great day.
