Beware the potholes. There are a lot of them. The course is super pretty, out and back through the Garden District then through the French Quarter. Lots to look at, lots of support. Water and Gatorade on the Course, but snacks were slim for the back of the packers. Supposedly there was a concert, but I showed up either too early or too late to view it.

The course is quite lovely, and if you’re a slower runner, it’s mostly flat, especially at the end when you’re tired..

Billed as a "downhill" race, but it didn't feel that way. Pretty course, AMAZING course support, extremely well managed. Not my favorite course, probably won't do it again. MORE

This race wasn’t as awful as I thought it was going to be, but if you don’t like, hills, this isn’t the race for you. The first 10 miles are mostly up hills, even if they’re small. At mile 10, you’re on a HUGE hill. It’s silly. And then downhill for basically 3 miles..

The view is great, the weather was lovely, and the parking is REALLY well managed. But yeah, 10 miles up hill.

Watch out for the first three miles or so of this race as the buildings/concrete/etc will mess with your tracking on your watch.

Expo was crappy, vendors were generally annoyed to be there and not helpful.

I love this race for personal best reasons. It’s a few thousand foot decline that’s through these lovely winding hills. There’s good on-course support, and if the weather is cool, this race is spectacular.

The medals/swag aren’t all that great, but it’s worth it for the personal best time.

I know the race director can’t choose the weather, but I wasn’t expecting such a hot race. Overly warm and Humid, which made it hard for me, a desert girl, to complete.

The scenery was gorgeous, and the views of the city were pretty great. Expo wasn’t much to look at, I’m really disappointed in the most recent RNR expos.
