I hiked a good bit of this one because I don’t train running uphill. It was a hot day but luckily it was mostly under trees. This race had a lot more markings for the trail which helped a lot, there were lots of opportunities to take a wrong turn. It was good to have lots of reassurance we were on the right path.

Run among the Redwood trees and as you huff and puff up the hills take in that fresh and woodsy O2 made special by the surrounding forest. Sasquatch Racing is a smaller production of about 300 runners, snacks after the race are limited but the two quality beers makes up for it. This course was very pretty and felt like a Sunday morning very well spent. Had an ascent of 691ft I believe, so it felt more like a hike at a couple of points.

Really fun course and a great festival afterwards. Fast first half and the hills set in about miles 7-9. Nothing too steep, gradual rise. Plenty of aid stations with water and electrolyte drink. I was very happy for so many potties along the way, it kept my mind on task and not worrying about hydrating.

There and back course. This course is great for setting a PR. Brazen had four aid stations so I didn’t bother carrying hydration. Start/Finish area has some playgrounds and a brick and mortar bathroom, so it’s a good race to bring the the whole family to if you have kids.

There and back course, we turned right after the bridge which is all uphill at a pretty steep grade. Definitely a tough course if you do not train on hills. Very scenic. Only had one aid station at the top of the hill, I could have used one more aid stop. I went through more water than anticipated.

If you aren’t stopping for pictures this course is quite fast and good for a PR. Lots of aid stations with water and poweraid, i barely needed my own hydration belt but was glad I had it. Cliff was there giving out their gels on the course which was good. Over all very smooth experience with the Rebel Challenge, had no trouble getting all the swag, and the expo is fun. It’s expensive but so much fun!

Arrive early to get to your corral if you are in A-D. We were slightly early but ended up having to run in a lower corral because we could not physically get to corral B, there were so many bystanders and runners everywhere it was too congested to move.

This course is pretty and open. No tree cover so it can get HOT. BR had a great aid station for the 5K with fuel and water. There were a couple of pretty big hills. For his race Brazen brought out real tarantulas for people to hold and admire which is so different and fun. As always, BR had their phenomenal post race food selection.

Pre-race warm up was fun and helpful. Course was beautiful and marked decently. The aid station had Gu which is a huge plus! The two beers afterwards was awesome! The recovery food was pretty good but could have been amped up a bit. Overall I liked it and am going to do another race with Sasquatch Racing.

Very flat course. Fun post race area with lots of booths and good restaurants for a early lunch. The mariachi bands were my favorite part, very memorable. I did this race as part of the I Run the Bay series. The medal cute with a shark (because hockey) wearing a sombrero dressed like a mariachi musician. If you’re up for a funny length race this one was pretty well orchestrated near I could tell. A little goodie bag at the end with some snacks.

Brazen gets the horse starting gates out that you can get in and take photos with which is really fun. This course had one big hill and then you finish the last bit of the race on the squishy stuff that the horses run on which is a very weird (but cool) feeling. Brazen put on there usual great post run feast. I did this as part of the I Run the Bay series.

Really nice flat and fast course perfect for a PR. Medals go only to the top three finishers in age groups. We got tech shirts for signing up. the only refuel food at the end was a table of protein bars. I mostly ran this one for the chance to get a PR and I love finding races that encourage kids to run too.
