Route was fair and just had some rolling hills. Not too difficult. Corrals were confusing at first. ABC was for the 5K and DEF etc…was for the 15K. Should have just left them like the 5K. Still had people trying to catch up for the 5K as we were about to start the 15.
The after stuff was the same as Nashville 17 but less items in the sales tents and not as many vendors and the location was quickly turning into a mosh pit due to the weather.
Overall not a bad run certainly not as crowded as Nashville which is not a bad thing.
Supposedly there is a program that rewards repeat races but it is for the same location and it should also include if you run different locals. That maybe a better incentive for people to travel to the other locations to run this event.

I have ran this course before in 2015 for another race so I knew what to expect.
Race production was good but the expo and items for sale by the sponsor was disappointing along with the fact that there was no shirt for the race. 52.00 for a beanie is way too much. No shirt and a canvas bag that was weeks later after the race. UNSAT.
The post race party was top notch. Food was much better than sea island and the band seemed like they were getting into it. The food alone made it worth it.

Great scenery at the start point. Route was pleasant, shady and flat. Regret not racing this one. A low key run through a nice area with great volunteers and some decent spectator turn out.
After party was at a up scale beach club. Post race food was a bit disappointing considering it looked and tasted like microwaveable stuff. Well run and staffed.

A great experience if you like a bigger event. Well organized and it was really cool to see the long line of runners.
Disappointed with the finishing medal considering the days theme and the number of racers participating. Could have used a lot more warm fluids considering the temp.
Enjoyed the experience and had a pretty good time.

My 3rd time pacing a 13.1 event.
Well organized and lots of energetic support from the DJ and the volunteers. The Police and the volunteers were top notch and I really thank them for doing a great job.
Course was nice and scenic, small issue with the narrow walking bridge on the trail but other than that a nice course.
Tip of the cap to Omega sports little “refreshment” table on the route. Very cool and makes for a fun as well as enjoyable run.
I hope to be keep pacing for more of these runs as its a good time to visit with runners and not worry about “racing” every time.

Parking was great and easy to get to from from the start.
Course has a couple of bottle necks at the start but after that it was a very nice course with good amounts of shade and open areas to run.
Appreciated the volunteers and police that provided enough security to allow runners to focus on the course and not on the intersections
Would have liked to seen more vendors and others there considering this was a inaugural event. A little light on after race snacks and such.
Overall this was a well managed event in a area that is prime for great running events. Hopefully they will have another next year and more folks will come out to support it.

Well ran as most 13.1 events are. Staff was ready to go and had no issues with check in and instructions for the responsibilities of pacing.
Would like to have seen more snacks, etc…. after the run. One pizza tent was not enough but for the number of participants perhaps it was not a big deal.
Runners back with me were in mostly good spirits and it was a pleasure to pace this race.

Running downhill is a challenge unto itself. Your adventure in going downstairs for the next couple of days afterwards will be a treat.
I did not appreciate the point to point aspect of the route but that cannot be helped.
The support staff (bus drivers, check bags, management) were top notch and friendly.
This is a race you want to run to say you have done it because it is unique but due to its location and some of the constraints I doubt I would return.

I enjoyed the group awards but the after race snacks were a little lame.
Overall a good race experience that let me know I have more training to do.

EXPO was the best I have attended.
I liked the optional Double Dare challenge.
SWAG could have been a bit better. (Getting a pullover for the challenge would have been nice)
Disappointing that the challenge awards did not go three deep
The age group awards were underwhelming.
Finishing medals were nice for both races.
After party was not as active as advertised. I think this was due in large part to the weather.
The timing for both races had issues and seemed to be the biggest headache for the event. I appreciated the hard work the volunteers put into things considering the weather the day of the half.
Finally……the 5k needs to be better planned as to allow those who desire to run with effort to not have to dodge people who are there to be “social” runners. It is a annoyance to spend the last half mile or so running side to side to avoid the “gang” of party goers who are 7-8 abreast across the road!

Race was flat as advertised.
I enjoyed the print as an award but the announcer and the whole production was hard to hear due to the fair background noise and as the awards went on it seemed the folks handing them out were getting tired of doing it.

My thanks to the A-hole that tripped me causing me to fall and injure myself at the start. (and kept running)…..I am pretty sure I know who you are and I want to thank you for screwing up my race day as well as a race I was entered but cannot participate now due to injuries sustained from your ignorance and inability to pay attention. I hope you don’t enter races often because I suspect that you have done this before and since you are a ignorant ass you are a menace to any race you enter. Do us all a favor and start in the back that way you can have less of a negative effect on other racers. JERK!

Get there early enough for parking and avoiding the bridge being closed.
Nice time of year for the beach. Not too hot or crowded.
Once your back over the bridge the rest of the course is flat with some nice beach scenery.
Next years BAM medals are crazy. That alone is enough to get in on this series.
Great job by the organizers, especially Ms. Johnna and her daughter. They make a great team. Thanks to the volunteers for their assistance.
