The Sea Island half marathon begins at the beautiful Lodge golf course in St Simons and finishes at the amazing Sea Island beach club. This was a 5 star race with a scenic, flat and well marked course, frequent water stops, great volunteers, great swag, a beautiful finishers medal and then to top it off the post race party was superb. They kept us warm and dry while we waited for the race to begin and then later when the race was over. We enjoyed several mimosas and a delicious breakfast. Later we headed outdoors to a heated tent to enjoy the band, “Liquid Pleasure.” We took our recovery laps on the dance floor and stayed until the band finished. We will be back!!

This is one of my new favorite half marathon events. The medals and shirts are some of the best I have received! The course is great and runs through Sea Island plantation course. All of the water stations are perfectly placed and the post race party was a lot of fun!

Great scenery at the start point. Route was pleasant, shady and flat. Regret not racing this one. A low key run through a nice area with great volunteers and some decent spectator turn out.
After party was at a up scale beach club. Post race food was a bit disappointing considering it looked and tasted like microwaveable stuff. Well run and staffed.
