i’ve traveled from wi for this race the last 3 years. it’s my favorite half marathon & i’ve participated in over 20 all over the place. the course is beautiful … MORE
i’ve traveled from wi for this race the last 3 years. it’s my favorite half marathon & i’ve participated in over 20 all over the place. the course is beautiful and the Christmas theme is so fun! Santa is present & the elves on stilts are amazing entertainment. race announcer is fantastic & the volunteers are friendly. not one with the most fans/spectators but those that do are top notch (carolers singing on their balcony every year)! aid stations are perfect & there’s always one local w/ a fireball station. no way i could ever do that while running but others love it & they provide a good laugh. the hills of mount dora make this course challenging but the waterfront miles make it beautiful.

the whole city turns out for this race! the aid stations are top notch with such awesome energy and the best snacks ever!!! i’m talking hershey kisses, twizzlers, swedish fish, donuts, kleenex, etc! they’ve got it all and then some!
