The course was packed with supporters, fuel stations, and water. I had a wonderful time. The hills at the beginning were a little tough but not impossible. I can’t wait to make this race a part of my year every year. My best friends were waiting at the finish line and I will never forget the feeling of seeing them and being able to just soar towards the finish line. I felt their love and so much pride that I showed up for myself and reached the milestone of a half marathon.

I completed this race to earn the snout and stinger challenge after doing the Flying Pig Half Marathon. I registered fresh off the race high and was immediately excited! Then the rwce started approaching and I got more and excited. The expo was so fun and I enjoyed how seamlessly it went. There were fun photo ops and the booths there were great, and everyone was so excited and helpful. Then it was race day and despite all the pre race jitters everything still felt fun. The course was hilly but the volunteers and spectators made this such an exciting race. And the views were amazing! Got to see the sunrise over the river and the beautiful houses and neighborhoods! Overall the course was hillier and more of a challenge for me than the pig but crossing the finish line and having a pancake made it all worth it! Loved this race !!

I have been with Queen Bee since the beginning. The year it started was my first half marathon. I signed up with a friend to check half marathon off my bucket list. The atmosphere on race day was electric and when I finished I knew I was hooked. I have run other half and full marathons and the Queen Bee is my favorite. It is one of my favorite days of the year.

I enjoyed this race! The course is challenging with the elevation gain, but the elevation feels to be at very optimal intervals on the course. I was excited to find out that I was eligible for the snout and stinger challenge medal, which was very cute. The expo felt a bit cramped and didn’t necessarily wow me. Day of parking was simple and bathroom lines weren’t too long. The post race party was great! I had a great time and will absolutely be running again next year!!

This was one of my favorite half marathons to date. The organization, support, community and vibe was fantastic.There were lots of water/aid stations, port a potties, and local groups handing out snacks and cheering us on throughout the entire course. The first 3 miles have lots of uphill but after that it’s relatively flat so not a problem. The only negative was that they didn’t have my size race shirt when I picked up my packet. Kind of a bummer because it’s soft and cute. But, I really enjoyed the women focused feel, from the expo, to the start, to the finish, it was just a positive, fun event!
