Bee-lieve it, girlfriend. There’s a women’s half marathon in Cincinnati. It’s our 10th Anniversary, you don’t want to miss the celebration!
The Queen Bee Half Marathon is on a mission: to promote the fun of fitness while raising support and funds for local charities that focus on women. Race weekend will include plenty of pampering, swag, and fun—the perfect ingredients for a great girls’ weekend.
The course goes through some of Cincinnati’s historic and scenic neighborhoods and along the way you’ll be entertained by dozens of bands and DJs and refreshment zones that will ‘bee’ unique to the event.
When you cross the finish line you’ll enjoy special swag, chocolates, massages, the one of a kind Queen Bee medal and an incredible after party!
Not quite feeling up to the whole 13.1 miles? No problem. Buzz through Saturday’s 4-mile event through Downtown Cincinnati instead. You’ll be done in time to meet your half marathoners at the finish.

This is always a wonderful event! The Fitness Expo is relatively large but navigable within an hour or so. The race swag is unbeatable with amazing bags and medals. The course is great with a mix of hills and great scenery and course perks. I have had a tough training year (non-existent training) to date due to ending up raising my infant granddaughter. I looked forward to this race and it made me tear up and be part of such a positive race.

I’m a momma of 4 kids and finally made a goal to get healthy again after my last child finished breastfeeding. Joined Burn Boot camp for cross training, Cincinnati Eastside Running Group, and set this half as a goal I have dreamed about since completing the 4 miler in 2019. Needless to say I did it! The empowerment of finishing is unparalleled. The quotes by women on the finish line made me cry during the final mile. That feeling of finding my mental and physical strength again as a woman- not only a wife and mother can’t be matched. Surrounded by other women doing the same in one way or another. It was magical. Thank you for that beautiful gift Queen Bee. I’ll be a lifer from here on out and will be looking forward to that Cincy skyline every year!

I traveled from Florida to run this race – maybe because I like the idea of being a queen? It did not disappoint! Hilly, challenging course through many neighborhoods. The cheer squads were amazing! I’ve never eaten so many aid station items! Swedish fish, even! The swag rocked and the after-party was the best I’ve seen. Live music, free chili dogs and beer, lots of friendly runners! I will be back !
Such a fun race!

Production: top notch. The expo was great, with a sign-making station, Instragrammable Queen Bee sign, and a photo station, as well as extensive branded merchandise and glassware. The pre-race information was quite thorough, including road closures, parking at the start and finish line, and bag drops.
The course had nine aid stations, with Gatorade and water at each, Gatorade first in green cups, water second in blue cups. It made for very quick hydration stops.
In addition to the aid stations, there were about a dozen different cheer stations. I loved the on-course chocolate, Fig Newtons, and petroleum jelly (so helpful around Mile 8).
The pacers were fantastic! The two-hour pace team lead me to my first sub-2 half marathon, and there were a lot of cheers and hugs and photos at the finish line.
Course: beautiful and not very hard. The first half is hilly, but the hills aren’t bad – nothing to kill the quads on the way down or destroy a runner on the way up. Shortly after the halfway mark, there’s a long, easy downhill, followed by a much flatter (less hilly?) trip to the finish. I loved seeing the sun rise over the parks – really gorgeous.
Swag: great! We received a long-sleeve technical tee, running headband, chocolate, and a duffel bag at the Expo. At the finish line, we received a sunflower, crown, and so much food (including pancakes and coffee!). The post-race party is a lot of fun and my family thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Definitely will be a repeat race.

Absolutely love this race and all of the support, energy, and attention to details! From the braid bar at the expo-to the sunflowers/crowns/and SWAG at the finish-this race is one for the books! Mid October timing, perfect fall temps, & foliage make for a scenic run through the heart of Cinci. So many PR’s and extra emphasis on female talent!! 10/10 recommend 🙂

Just like the Flying Pig, this race is always so well-supported, in both a technical sense (plenty of bathrooms, water stops, bike guides, medical, and snacks) AND in the sense that the city will come out to cheer you on! The course is a fairly challenging one, beginning with about 2.5 miles of uphill running, but once you make it to Eden park the remainder of the race is mild, rolling hills.

The Queen Bee 4 Miler was the first race I ever ran. And the Queen Bee Half Marathon was my first half marathon! This race is my favorite. The course is lovely. Not too many hills and very pretty. The volunteers and aid stations are too notch. The race swag is the best. A bag, a shirt, a sweaty band! The after party is fabulous with coneys and pancakes and a seltzer. And the medal is always so pretty. There is nothing about this race I don’t love!! I hope to run it for many years to come!!

Organizers go out of their way to make you feel special from beginning to end. I am a member of the Queen Court and also this year they had the Snout to Stinger. That meant I did the 1/2 in the Flying Pig and also the Queen Bee. I had special bibs for each so everybody knew I was special. They had stations at every mile and people cheering us on at each mile. At the end they had what anyone would want for quick snack including Chocolate that had been missing the last couple years. {thanks Kroger for CHOCOLATE}.

This race is always so much fun!! I have done it every year since it began. Several years ago when I began running in my mid-30’s, it was my first half marathon ever . I love that the ginormous hill is at the beginning, and I love that the course itself is not an overly-difficult one. It’s definitely geared towards women, and I love that the number of participants allowed is fairly small.
The men are supposed to start at the back, although it’s not hugely enforced. As far as the course itself goes, they are doing a better job at stationing spectators, but there are lots of places along the course, especially in the last few miles where bands and cheers would be appreciated.
There are porta-potties in several locations and plenty of water stations (every single mile). It’s an excellently run race, and I am always encouraging people to run it with me year after year.

This race is always a favorite! The expo is so fun and full of great swag. The course is fairly flat once you get past the one major hill. However, the top of the hill is the best scenery of the entire race. Support stations are great, but would love to find a way to get more people out on Eastern and Riverside as that is when we all seem to need a good push and it’s fairly empty. Otherwise, it’s amazing and can’t wait to run it next year!

Well organized. Water and port pots along the course . This is a race designed for women. Until recently we received a woman’s shirt. We got a unisex shirt-a man’s cut and it is poorly made and does not fit. Women deserve shirts designed for us. I hope next year we get a shirt we can wear.
