Check-in process was seamless—the energy was great, people were friendly, and there were ample porta-potties. The course is absolutely stunning, with all the redwoods and lush foliage. It was perfect running weather, and there were no intense hills—just a gentle incline here and there. Aid stations were well spaced and well organized.
My favorite part was the camaraderie. We were out there running and pushing ourselves, yet still cheering on the front runners as they passed us after the turnaround. Pure joy!
It was such a nice touch to hear our names called out at the finish. The medal was high quality, the t-shirt comfy, and the tote bag was cute with a few goodies inside. Definitely follow the email instructions about arrival time! Parking is manageable and the attendants did a great job guiding us, but there’s only one lane into the park, so expect to wait.
