New for 2025: Parking has moved from Mohegan to downtown Wilkes Barre, near the race finish. So instead of shuttling both before and after the race, runners will take a shuttle from the finish area to the start line. While this makes much more sense, logistically, finding parking was more difficult, if you’re not familiar with the area. We parked at the recommended free city government building parking lot. It was very convenient to the shuttles, but ended up being within a closed area of streets, due to the race. We did have only a minimal delay getting out though, as we were back of the pack runners.

The course was a flat point to point. Runners were shuttled from the local casino/convention center parking lot to the start line, and shuttled back from the finish line. The highlight of the course was crossing the Susquehanna River near the finish.
There was a finisher’s medal and a VERY nice quarter zip pullover. Finisher’s also received free sunglasses at the finish line.
Even the bib was well thought out as it was in the shape of the State of Pennsylvania, customized with the runner’s first name.
If I still lived in PA, this would probably be one of my favorite races.
