This is a great option to do a double weekend with either RH or MA. The course is pretty flat and runs along the ocean for a while then through pretty countryside. For the size of the race (smallish) there is decent crowd support. The finish and after party were really well run. Communication/Information could be better, especially if you are trying to plan a double. Not a lot of information available until a couple weeks before the race. All in all a wonderful race, glad I ran it and would recommend for NH.

About 10 minutes south of Portsmouth NH. My wife and I stayed the weekend in Portsmouth NH after flying into Boston. Packet p/u was easy as we did on Saturday at the state park or you could’ve done day of race. Despite the cold windy conditions the volunteers were very courteous.
The swag was ok. Got a long sleeved tech shirt and bag with the logo on it but nothing else. Which is fine but no coupons and paraphenalia from local establishments. The medal was awesome looking but didn’t have the date. Race day was cool (46 degrees) and rainy. Plenty of parking and its close to the start. They could’ve had a few more porta potties. Start time was 8:00 but walkers were allowed to start at 7:15. They started in waves which I believe they did to ease the congestion on the road. There were only about 400 people that ran.
The course was open to traffic and ran along the coastline for the first 2 miles then turned inland then along the water again for the last 2 miles.
Despite being open to traffic there never was any cars to be concerned about and police and volunteers were at every crossing of the road. There was not alot of crowd support but the ones that were out were very enthusiastic.
The finish line was great but had a 90 degree turn to the finish at the final 100 meters after coming off a downhill.
Results were almost instant and the snacks and food post race was plentiful. There were cooking burgers and also had veggie burgers for those that preferred. We did receive race pictures a few days later but the ones we took afterwards on the beach were picturesque.
    I would recommend this race.

The start/finish for this event are at a state park right at a beautiful spot right on the Atlantic Ocean. It is well run executed and well supported by the local communities is passes through. The roads are not closed, but with about 800 runners in four waves on relatively quiet roads and police at major intersections, interactions with traffic are not an issue. I had a great time and got a PR. Not sure if the course was a bit short or GPS was just off, but I ran an extra tenth of a mile to get to 13.1 on my watch.

The race production was really top notch, including an early start for walkers, plenty of runner facilities and staff support throughout the race, an easy packet pick up, and great post race set up. In fact, I have never seen so many snacks, drinks, and food offered after a race! The race course is flat, fast, and beautiful. Don’t miss this gem just outside of charming Portsmouth, NH.
